Okay, I can’t really just leave the story hanging there so….double-update time.
Time to Party!Liam’s last days as a teen are a blur of skilling activity—so much so that not a single picture is taken. Finally, his birthday notice arrives. Liam plans the party himself and invites a bunch of friends over. He even hires a caterer, but all she does is break the stove and make a mess of the counter. It’s a good thing Leo already baked a cake while his brother was on the phone planning the party. It’s like Leo knew that the caterer would be useless.

Since the Wonder Child Challenge does not officially end until the timer runs out on the birthday party, Liam blows out his candles right away. This gives him time to complete a few more milestones on some random aspirations that require him to “become an adult” or “join the ____ career.” This all goes on in the background. Liam, Leo, and their friends just enjoy the party. Well, first Leo cleans the counter that the caterer messed up, but then he enjoys the party.

Liam spins into young adulthood looking rather thoughtful.

Leo finishes scrubbing the counter in time to toss some confetti and sing the end of the birthday song to his big brother.

The party earns another gold medal with plenty of time to spare. With all the boxes checked, I sit back and let Liam have some fun.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Liam’s final personality trait is Loner. His next mission will require him to live by himself for a while, and I don’t want his social needs dropping too fast. Plus, he’s got the Carefree trait now, so that should cancel out any tense feelings he might get around big crowds.
Also, who is this lovely young lady who seems to have captured the attention of the birthday boy? Hmm…wheels are turning.

In conclusion, Liam earns
694 points as a Wonder Child.
Here are his skills and traits for anyone who is interested.

And some thoughts on the Challenge:
This was a nice, short Challenge and a good baby-step for me to make sure that I would finish what I started.
About halfway through, I was pretty sure I would do the follow-on Apocalypse Challenge. At that point, some of the skills and aspirations that I concentrated on were specifically chosen to prepare Liam for his next challenge and I became less focused on points.
I probably should have had Liam’s parents get together and try for a baby sooner. Their first try for baby was unsuccessful (and I didn’t have Jenna take a pregnancy test right away) which all resulted in Liam’s childhood and teen birthdays occurring on a Friday. This put him two days behind for starting grade school and high school. Also, if I ever do this challenge again, I think I’ll give at least one of the parents the Active trait, or make sure one of them completes the Bodybuilder Aspiration. Doing either of these things would ensure that at least one parent will live to the end of the challenge.
I didn’t really take advantage of the Club Feature from City Living much, but I’ve since learned how powerful the skill boosts, Rally the Troops, and the ability to set the club vibe can be. I think Liam did really well without it, though, and besides, he’s going to need to have something to do in his next Challenge.
Thanks for reading!
