Oh my gosh @oshizu @Deme that programme sounds so helpful!! Like that would make the whole converting thing so much faster thank you omg because I really didn't feel like manually converting over 500 screenshots

the way I do updates is I have my screenshot folder open my notes and then my separate write up document and my notes are like by the day so it's like (Monday Nina maxes cooking +2, Hires pizza -1 Marcy paints level 4 Margo reaches imagination 2 via dollhouse+bear Joaquin and Sergio dance battle ect) so then I look through the screenshots for the ones that show that but then when i'm actually writing it up I just get stuck because its like ahh is this in character? Is this good? Do I need this bit here??

I might have shot myself in the foot a little bit because I originally started the save then played until Marcy was a child before posting the first update so I'd have enough material to do an update. But after that i just wanted to play the game and not update because playing is more fun. And now I'm so far forward that I've actually forgotten like half of what happened haha

don't let yourself get bogged down so that the story becomes a chore.
If you have notes about the scoring, you could even just have one update with all the points earned/lost. 
But include your favorite shots with your hilarious comments, maybe?
Then you could just start from wherever you are in game? 
I don't know. If I were you, I'd do whatever so that your challenge stays fun.

Like Oshizu said, you need to keep things fun for you.
I would maybe skip most of the story for a couple gen, so you can catch up.

Also, I have a main folder for each "story" where I put the screenshots every time I empty my folder, and I sort them by gen (for the 10gen) or by next update. I then open the first screen of the update folder in photofiltre to edit/crop/redim/convert. In that program, I can see all the others pictures from the same folder, so I can edit them one after another, without having to return to the main folder. It also allows me to makes collages when I want to show a sequence, or when things are repetitives. If you don't need editing/cropping, Irfanview seems the best bet though.

I am doing an unofficial legacy and so far I got Diego Lobo going steady with one of my Sims(who is now carrying his baby ) and I loved writing the dialogue for them during Love Day.

That's great to hear I'm glad you're enjoying the Calientes! I'm trying to finish up the next update right now and going back in to add all the dialogues is so difficult I don't know how you manage it. Seasons is in my game but unfortunately we won't be seeing it in Marcy's lifetime since I'm like 4 generations ahead (Gen 6 was just born in game) but I'm enoying the pack too! I especially like the flower arranging skill  and oh gosh yeah the Alien outfits are usually so ugly haha

I think I'm gonna try Irfanview, so far I've got all my screenshots sorted by generation but then I've also got my notes document my spreadsheet then the separate document to write it all up which i'm currently using right now, it works but it makes my laptop super slow!

I enjoy playing the challenge, Its just I get really bored when writing so I do a little bit at a time which is why it takes so long for me to actually have enough together for an update but I'm almost there so I'm hoping I can get it done after work tomorrow before I go see the new horror movie so I've got time

Watcher: Welcome back to Keeping it Caliente, tonight is a very special episode featuring Marcy becoming the controlled sim! We rejoin the household on the night of their final free day.

Sergio’s first and final stop of the day was to the Kim-Lewis household where Olivia lived alone, he had come across her last free day however he was unable to pollinate her. There was something different about her to all the other women in Sergios life. It was usually him who did all the work, he went to them, flirted, woohooed then left.

However last freeday Olivia flirted first, while they were still in the “friendly” part of the relationship. By giving sergio a huge red rose something non of the other girls had ever done, completely out of the blue

Over the next week Olivia called sergio a few times inviting him out however due to not being the controlled sim he obviously could not answer.

Marcy: A forbidden romance! How Tragic

Marlene: I know right I am living for this gossip right now

Sergio took himself over to Olivias house, Sergio went through his usual pollinating routine, then he rather casually asked Olivia to marry him

Sergio: Olivia I have met many women in my life, I have almost 20 children and yet I never have felt the way I do with you

Olivia: Oh Sergio! You’re so strong!

Watcher: May story progression be kind to them I guess?

Sergio and Olivia got married in the corner of the room, they decided to stay in seperate households because of reasons and rules

Meanwhile the rest of the day was spent finishing off any business, Nina got her nap, Margo and Marlene decided among themselves that Margo would eventually move in with Marcy at the Goth Mansion and Marlene would become a member of Marcys club so she could visit daily.
 
Marcy: I’ve already got this genius plan, you wanna hear it right watcher?

Watcher: Not really… I’ve got something else to-

Marcy: Great! So I’m going to buy a load of easles and a store with the Goths absolute bank right! Then I’m gonna set the club activities to painting and have all 5 members create paintings. Then I’m gonna sell all those in my store!

Watcher: You can’t use your own sister as a painting slave, it’s not that kind of dynasty

Marcy: Mum argued an alien to death last week are you sure about that?

Nina: That was like an accident ugh

Overall the free day was pretty uneventful however the next day, Nina is officially released from being the controlled sim and Marcy takes over!

Nina: Okay cool! I’m gonna go get myself an salty llama, a gossip mag and take a nap!

Marcy spends the first few days of her controllment painting she completes all 10 of her museum paintings by Thursday, while there was plenty of time to try for masterpieces and more valuable paintings the watcher just wanted to get on with the show

By Friday Marcy has reached painting level 6, she’s taken photos of all her family, and selfies with everyone so she decided to call up Alexander Goth for a date in the Cafe on the Windenburg highstreet.

Watcher: ??

Alex was not dead, he was doing pushups. Apparently Marcy’s romantic trait also gave her the “Overdramatic” trait

Sergio: That’s not a trait, that’s just being a Caliente…

Alex: Awwh Thanks for caring babe

Alex’s traits are Athletic, Bookworm and Romantic so he’s probably going to be dropping into random workouts a lot so here’s to hoping Marcy doesn’t try pull a romeo and juliet

The wedding was held later that night in Myshuno Meadows, all the guests came to watch the ceremony including all of Nina’s clubmembers, Dina and Don (Katrian has passed on) Sergios first 4 children, A man in a Darth Vader costume and some random NPC’s who were just in the area.

Alex: Marcy you’ve got a bit of food just here…

Then as soon as the event closed (with a gold rating earning us our first point!) Marcy packed up her things and moved into the Goth house!

Bella is currently an Adult halfway to an Elder, Mortimer has seemingly already passed away and Cassandra is a young adult about halfway to an Adult, Alexander is a young adult too but only about a quarter way through

On Monday Marcy first learns that she is not pregnant, but instead of her mope around they decide to try again and success!

Margo is still a teen so I wasn't able to move her in just yet but she is coming eventually! lmao yeah Olivia saw her chance and took it they did end up having one son (Davin who well meet later) Totalling 19 kids to Sergio in total which is a lot for a sim who hates children. I almost feel bad for him. Almost.

Honestly I've never actually played the goths at the beginning of the game because I never really cared that much about them and I really hate their house after having played it because the bills are insane (over £10,000) but instead of giving the whole thing a makeover I just made all the sims (bar margo) just look like Goths even Marcy got a new outfit

Hi so I've decided to officially abandon the Calientes, they just stopped being fun to play after a certain point but I thought I'd make one final post to show how far I got.

So Marcy and Alexander had one daughter, Thistle Caliente who becomes a mean evil loner

Marcy then ends up joining the painting club, having them come over to paint, then sell the best ones for profit at her store across the road

Thistle ended up marrying Sergio and Olivia's son Davin Kim-Lewis

Marcy passes away just down the road from the house and it takes ages to find her tombstone, Thistle passes it by chance when jogging for her next promotion to international space smuggler.

At first, I didn't realize he was sparring and thought I saw an arm coming out of the ground and I was wondering how you did that, LOL.

Make sure you save your entire Sims 4 folder to somewhere safe so your saves will be there when/if you decide to return to the Calientes!

Yeah the son was the 6th generation, i havent played with them since like july and i probably wont again (though i might use them for some other stuff)

Don't worry they're saved onto my old and new laptop as well as the gallery

I would love to be able to cause effects like that to come out of the ground like you could in the Sims 3 that was so fun to create smoke and stuff
