Sunday

Watcher:Helllooo thereee! And welcome to a brand new season of keeping it Caliente! I'm the watcher and I think this is gonna be a great season for us up here. There will be drama and excitement so stay tuned!

The ginger one Is going to be our founder, introducing miss Nina caliente, she's a romantic lazy something something

Watcher: So young miss Caliente,now you're a dynasty founder there's a lot you need to do, what job are you going to pick? Barmaid? Receptionist?

Nina: I'm gonna be a scientist. I have a degree in geology y'know it's just I like hella procrastinate and stuff. Also why are you narrating this like a show?

Watcher: oh… that's nice and not at all expected. And it's more fun to pretend this way just go with it.

Anyway we need to get you some more appropriate clothing if you're gonna be working in a lab,

Nina: yeah like no offence just like these clothes are totally lame. ]

Watcher: Cant have your hair down in a lab, you'll get it caught on fire did you not do secondary school Lab?

Nina: Still a geologist, we dont BURN the rocks. A guy I went out with did lick them sometimes though

Watcher: Please dont lick the science

Nina: Heck yeah I can shimmy with this!

Nina: Hey D, surprise I'm a dynasty founder! I'm gonna be like super important like a landgraab or something! Wanna take a selfie to mark the occasion?

Dina: Omg, I'm so proud of You! I heard the voice in the sky but I assumed it was a butt dial. Congratulations! I know what else we can do to celebrate…

Katrina: Oh Nina, I'm so proud of You darling, A dynasty in this family! I never thought I’d see the day. Do we have one of those things too?

Nina: Things?

Katrina: A voice sky cloud person thing!

Watcher: Unfortunately Katrina I wont be here for more than a few days, Ill be going with Nina when she moves out. We do need a photo of you though, can you pose for a second.

Nina: Why are you so extra mom? Ah nevermind, Oh Donny get over here we need a selfie noooow!

Once all the photos were taken Nina took a trip to the Family Museum. Its a replica of the Mansion in Windenburg, only empty and not haunted yet.

Nina: Are you sure I can't live here instead?

Later that night

Watcher:Nina and Dina visited one of the nightclubs that popped up in Newcrest, While Nina danced all night Dina decided to hang out in the bathroom and do situps. Is this how the Caliente Women keep so thin? 24/7 situps?

Nina: Heck yeah! This place is hoppin’

Watcher: Go talk to some people please we need to find you a man within like a week

Nina: A week! Why so soon? But fine.

And so Nina got chatting to Joaquin Lachien an ameature DJ who was dancing a few feet away.

Joaquin: Hey, Nice moves Miss C. I’d have never guessed you were into Trance you seem way more like a smooth synth kinda gal.

Nina: *Has no idea what hes saying* Yeah! Say what're you wearing? Thats aparently not your everyday wear.

Joaquin: A load of us townies have gotten random outfit changes did you not see Jade rosa in the vampire gown and Shutter shades

Nina: Ugh I HATE her shes such a disaster, thinks she can just come in and be the party girl. LIke I am the O.G the Original.

Joaquin: A funny one though haha, you are pretty cute though

Nina: For reals though can you change into your everyday outfit like please? The top hat is totally distracting me

Joaquin: Done and done!

Watcher: He just had spare clothes underneath?? Where was he keeping those?

They then took a seat at the bar, where he bought Nina a sparkling fizzy drink, and continued their conversation

Joaquin: So I live with this really posh guy right now, his name is sergio and hes like weirdly buff and you don't expect it but I saw him the other day and I was like woah Insane jealousy pangs right there.

Nina: Huh, I prefer skinny guys. There is this one cute guy though I live with him

Joaquin: Ohh…

Nina: He’s like sort of involved with my mom though

Joaquin: Oh :] that sucks for you

Nina: Yeah but I like have to move out soon anyway so oh well, therell be something better for sure.

Joaquin: I’ll bet, anyway gotta go Nina but Ill see you again?

Nina: Maybe yeah, see ya around

Dina: He was nice

Nina: Yeah, wait when did you come in?

Dina: Ive been dancing for like an hour now, I even got a level 2 in the dancing skill

Nina: Wow, Fancy some of these “Omg so nice” French fries?

Dina: He was flirting with you though

Nina: What guy wouldnt I am smokin’ anyway we need to head home its like 2am mom might be worried again

Dina: Hahaha she hasnt been worried since we were teens, hes probably woohooing with Don or something

Nina: Ew

The next day Nina went out to start on her museum collection, since shes apparently so into rocks the Watcher had her go cut some for the morning, she found an orange topaz worth 15 simoleons and a citrine worth 25. She was about to go to the museum to drop them off when she got a text from Joaquin

Text: Hey there's a crazy party going down at the bluffs right now, wanna hang? -Jo

And so at 6am on a Monday Morning Nina made her way to the bluffs, there she found a gathering of people in the feild with some portable speakers and a DJ booth.

Nina: Have you been out all night?

Jo: Maybe... Im not entirely sure anymore

Watcher: that's not healthy

Joaquin: Oh my gosh you're a Dynasty Girl?!

Nina: Yeah but so far this voice thing has just been kinda like annoying, Im so not allowed to do any fun stuff anymore like game all night

Watcher: You have a Job, which starts in 10 minutes by the way and you've got to get all the way to strangetown better get moving

Joaquin: Awh

Nina: Dont worry Jo I'll see you some other time

Watcher: Well I think that was great start on the Dynasty, so far all the museum photos have been taken plus a few extras, stay tuned for Nina's first day of work!

Great start!
I love Nina's makeover. Recycling the Von Haunt Estate for use as a museum is a brilliant idea (and it comes already landscaped!)
Has Nina already decided on Joaquin as her spouse? Or is she still "sampling"?
Poor Caleb and that horrid party outfit, lol.

Thank you, and I literally love Nina (mostly for her hair I don't know why I just love the sort of curls, and I think my biggest problem is gonna be actually writing it haha I'm currently trying to figure out why half the update is bolded for no reason 😂 but oh well

Thank you oshizu! I was literally just too lazy to build a whole museum because building is way hard haha. And yeah I had chosen Joaquin from the stat (well originally Sergio but then I saw his traits and was like hmm hates children nope. In hindsight making him my pollinator was maybe a stupider idea) so I already new I needed to find him and for some reason he always spawns at every club and party it's crazy but convenient

Tues

Watcher: Helloooo and Welcome back to Keeping it Caliente! Today Nina is going to work as a scientist for the first time? Will she be useful? Or will she fail, dramatically?

Nina Wow, Rude. I’m totally gonna do an amazing job thank you Look at this pink thingy I’m making. According to the instructions I need to add 3.0g of this trace metal I found in my Quartz to this Plant Solution and then I’ll have totally made my first serum. Im making Synthetic food. It’s meant to like end world hunger or something.

Predictably the whole thing blew up in her face, maybe she shouldn’t experiment for a while

Nina:OMG My hair! I got stuff in my hair I am so MAD right now Oh My Actual G!

Watcher: *Mimicking tone* I’m like totally a geologist, I work with rocks, We don’t do dangerous things we lick our rocks, so I don't need to tie my hair up and my sensible clothes are lame.
I hope its not acidic it would be such a shame if you went bald right now.

Nina: Ohmighosh you're right maybe that’s why Eric Lewis is bald. I don’t wanna be bald too ahh!

After a “brief” Panic Nina’s next task she had to find 10 collectables, she found 3 more crystals (Rose 20, Quartz 30, Jett 140) and like 10 more time capsules filled with mysims trophies. That ends up filling her work bar two thirds full.

Watcher: Is this good? I’ve literally never oversaw an active career sim before?

After heading home to work on her relationships with Dina and Katrina for a bit Nina received the notification that the Humour and Hijinks festival was on, as an aspiring master prankster Nina decided she should go, and since she ran out on him earlier she invited Joaquin over as well

They drank the Prankster Tea and spent the rest of the night Pranking random strangers until Pranksters beat out Comedians. Nina didn’t increase her mischief skill however she did become actual friends with Jo instead of acquaintances so the I counts it as a night well spent.

In the dead of night Vlad showed up at the doorstep, only to turn and walk back away without doing anything at all.

Watcher:Yeah you better run mister, I’ve gotta make nina do a lot of stuff tomorrow and if she passes out I will cure you personally!

Tuesday

Nina: Haha new high score woo! Take that Past me

Watcher: Work starts in 11 minutes and half your needs are in the red, you have no sack lunch and you gotta pee. Move.

Nina: Noooo one more game please, wait do you smell something?

Meanwhile downstairs Don Lothario was attempting to grill some fruit, unfortunately he had no cooking skill and set the grill on fire. Luckily Nina actually moved and flew down the stairs to put it out while the rest of her family Panicked

Unfortunately this meant that Nina went to work stressed and with no moodlet improvement. However during the fire Nina had her first breakthrough, the create the momentum conserver!

Robot: Are you sure that putting a cog in the influx stratoscope is a good idea?

Nina Why does even the robot question me??

Nina then collected the rest of the Crystals for the museum outside her work building, (Ruby 30,Peach 15, Saphire 15, Rainborz 150, Emerald 20) After taking care of her needs the best she could she headed home for the last time.

Nina: I like totally deserve this. Oh hey I like just had another breakthough! I should use rocks to

Watcher: Don't finish that thought please enough rocks

She then said her goodbyes to her mother and sister

Dina: So you’ve completed all your requirements? Nice going sis!

Nina: Could you like seriously stop doing press ups I wanna have an emotional goodbye, I'm asking Jo out tonight then I’m not coming back home. But i'll like totally have you all over to visit and stuff. I wonder where he lives.

Dina: You don't even know that?!

Watcher: That's the dynasty life

Later Nina phoned Joaquin up and asks him to meet her at one of the many Diners that cropped up in Newcrest. Due to what I can only assume is number of restaurants suddenly appearing in the world it was pretty dead. Nethertheless they spent a bit of time getting to know eachother.

Nina: Hmm Im kinda feeling the grilled chicken, with a nice soda float. What about you Jo?

Joaquin: I think I’ll just go with what you're having, you seem like you’ve got great taste.

I love what you’ve done with your hair it’s hella classy

Nina: Yeah my hair, I definitely chose this outfit and hairstyle for myself… like definitely

Joaquin: So what’s your favourite kinda music, I’m into hardcore postmodern funk right now. Theres this new band called the SnarzyBlarghs I’ve got tickets for their show next week with my mate Candy Behr. She’s a DJ too obviously.

Nina: She into you?

Joaquin: Oh gosh no, she’s got a thing for my roomate though, Sergio. We just do the same kinda music, co worker style. She’s a great backup. Im better though.

Nina: Naturally. Anyway I really like rock music

*Watcher silently* ROCK MUSIC?? ROCKs! I am going to ban not only the WORD but the whole Concept of ROCKS if I hear it one more time out of your mouth Nina Caliente

Things picked up from there with a kiss, and a proposition of going steady as the clock ticked over midnight

Wednesday

The Date didn’t end there, after finishing and paying for their meal they headed to “Oasis Springs Dust Bowl” the bowling alley to play a few rounds, after they basically filled their whole romance bar Nina dropped to one knee.

Nina: Jo, will you like totally be my dynasty spouse?

Joaquin: OMG yes of course I will! I cant wait!

Nina: Great, we’ll be getting married immediately quick to the um... fast travel menu!
And so they headed over to the adorable wedding venue in Brindleton Bay behind club calico.

Watcher I now pronounce you Sims! You may kiss.

They then headed back to Joaquins house on the Windenburg Island, Dock Den, and suddenly points mattered and the Dynasty could officially start. The “Bro” household started with 20000 simoleons.

Anyway that’ll do it for tonight’s episode of Keeping it Caliente, next time we will meet Sergio, Joaquin's roommate and hopefully future pollinator, and we’ll also see if we’re getting an heir anytime soon! Bye bye

Thank you @FrancescaFiori! Idk i just thought maybe Nina is a lot smarter than she's made out to be lol I love her too she was always my go to in the sims 2 #Ninapreciationgroup. I've decided to change the name though, I noticed about 10 minute ago that someone further down the board has a story with basically the same name so to avoid confusion I'm gonna change it when I think of a new one. I'm gonna try really really hard to not make it a rock pun

Ahh thank you looking back at it I kinda wish I had thrown a big wedding party because that is totally what Nina would have done, but I was just so excited to actually start playing for real! I have so many awful puns to use in this Dynasty I can't wait! Hopefully I'll have an update for tonight maybe tomorrow

Name is changed! I didnt have the heart to make it a rock pun because then I have to commit to just rocks for ten generations xD And I really wanted Sergio for the spouse but then I was like oh hates children he'll be terrible as a spouse. So somehow I decided he'd be better suited as a pollinator? (Complete logic skill fail)

Omg I had the exact opposite problem, he hated his own kids getting realy upset when they were around. But he was the best "uncle" to the Caliente kids he even took care of them autonomously!

Watcher:Hello Hello Welcome back to Keeping It Caliente, Last time we saw Nina and Joaquin trying for a Baby? Were they successful?

Nina: Yep.

Watcher: Nina I no, I was going to do this whole dramatic reveal thing where we make them wait so they have to keep reading before we get to the point. All the good shows do it, why do you think it took literally 9 hours of movie for the Hobbits to get the ring to Mordor?

Nina: I dunno know, I always turned it off to watch shopping network.

Watcher: Great! Right lets try that one again.
HELLO and welcome back to Keeping it Caliente, Last time we saw Nina and Joaquin trying for a baby, Were they successful? Anyway also in the household i-

Nina Yes

Watcher No, Nina what did I just-uh- Is this about the rocks? Whatever let’s just skip the intro.

So Nina and Joaquin are Pregnant!

Sergio: Ohmighosh we have a watcher! This is extremely fortunate! Now I can have what every dynasty sim dreams of!

Watcher: You wanna be a pollinator? Because I am very pleased to tell you t-

Sergio: What no! I hate kids, that’s like the last thing I want right now. No! I want a pony. No wait a Yatch! No! A pony… on a yatch!

Watcher: I- Y’know what you be a pollinator and at the end of it all I’ll get you a yatch pony, sound good?

Sergio: I dont know I’ll think about it…

Watcher: Ughhh

Nina then went to work, she spent most of the day testing some new serums on some kind of watermelon

Nina: Um its like not a watermelon, its a rock I painted green to make sure that colour doesn’t affect the Red serums working. Y’know just incase I have to test on a plantsim one day, we want Red not like purple results!

Watcher: You could have just used a Melon you know, theyre also green…

*Nina bursts out laughing*

Watcher: What is it, Nina!

Nina: Okay like dont be mad, but last night while you were eating your chinese food I totally convinced everyone to troll you super hard today. And it worked! Look I even achieved mischief level 2 that’s like the first point right?

Watcher: Oh wow, that's actually pretty smart-

Nina: I know I’m a geologist I’m smart

Watcher Does this mean I don’t have to get Sergio a pony?

Nina: I have no idea what youre talking about…

Friday

Nina had another breakthough overnight, which lead her to the creation of the simray! Her first task was to name the simray.

Watcher: Nice

She then tested it on her unsuspecting colleagues,

Watcher oh thank plumbobs shes still alive

She thawed nearly instantly, luckily Nina had something to make it up to her

Nina: Like um sorry about that Supriya, try this it should hopefully warm you up. See I’d test it myself but I’m totally pregnant with a dynasty heir. So my watcher advises me strongly against it

Supriya: I wish I could be in a dyasty…

After returning home Nina had been given a promotion to an apprentice inventor which is another point bringing out total up to 2 whole points

Today was Nina’s day off work, The first thing she did was join the uppercrust club. Mostly so the fridge would always be fully stocked so Jo and Sergio didn’t try burn the house down making “Dinner”

Watcher: Ahh I remember playing that from school, we lost the ball though so we used a stone from the playground.

Joaquin: Really, tha sounds hella dangerous

Watcher: It was, it always flung off, it was the best game! I still dont know what the rules actually are

*Sergio using an announcer voice* Caliente passes to Lothario, but Lechein blocks with force, Landgraab takes hold of the ball and Ohhh it’s passed the keeper and its in!

That’s time! Team Chien wins 3-1!

Katrina called inviting Nina over for tea at the Pelican,

Katrina: So Nina Honeyy how’s the Dynasty going, I heard from Eva who heard from Summer who heard from Nancy you’ve even got a pollinator

Nina: What dynasty story have you seen that totally doesn't have a pollinator?

Katrina: Can I meet him? I’m like so over Don now he wants to get all serious and stuff like ew

Nina: Huh I didn’t take Don for the type

Watcher: Im sure theres some family drama there we just dont wanna get involved in Nina

Nina: Im like pregnant

Katrina: And?

Watcher: No! Gosh I really need to raise your parenting skill asap. Katrina how could you!

Watcher: Suddenly it all makes sense

The next day Nina Gave birth

Nina: Doctor Matsua! Help please!

Dr. M: Worry not miss, the machine will handle everything from here!

Watcher: Jo the heir is on its way what are you doing?

Joaquin: Shh my sim is having a baby, omg what am I gonna name it? What if its twins? What if my simself cant handle the pressure of being a parent!

Watcher: Oh this is fine it’s just your preparenal panic you may resume

Joaquin: No Zelda! My sim wife didnt make it to the hospital she gave birth in the park!

Watcher: Just be glad your ACTUAL wife did make it to the hospital man

Watcher: Closer but I'm not feeling it

Nina: Ah I like love her already shes like so cute, Jo come look at thi- nope he’s still not here.

In order to celebrate the birth of the Heir Nina threw a house party as soon as they returned home.

It had basically been catered for by the Upper Crusts the day before, serving up everything from Mac ‘n Cheese to Roast Chicken
