Note from Steffon Baratheon to Eddard HolidayI was sorting through some stuff in the house and found this box. It’s addressed to you. Your dad said he and your mom talked to you about the Project.
Read through all this and then go talk to them.
And stop being a jackass. Try being the younger child of a drifter and then get back to me about how hard life is.
Journal entry, Eddard HolidayI feel kind of stupid.
I got this box from Uncle Steffon. Grandma Summer set it aside for me. I guess my grandfather kept all his documentation from the Project and she kept stuff too and she wanted me to have it. I was up all night going through it.
Dad was gardening when I went to talk to him. I had a bunch of questions.
“Hit me.”
“Did you ever think of not doing the Project?”
“Sure.”
“Why did you decide to do it?”
Dad finished weeding before he faced me. “I thought it would be fun and it has been. Well, mostly. Your mom and I pretty much built this place with our bare hands. Maybe it’s not perfect. Maybe the roof could be better. But it’s ours. Not everyone can say that.”
“Would I need to get married?”
He shrugged. “You’ll need to talk to Pierce about that. My guess is that you’ll need a partner of some kind. I know you like your own space being a loner, and I know it grosses you out how close we are and all, but you’re gonna want
someone, because nothing about the Project is easy. Talk to your mom about it too.”
Mom was upstairs playing the violin. She’s been doing that a lot lately. When I asked her why, she looked at me for a long time, before she answered. “It was something I wanted to learn. I get inspired easily. The Project has been great in that it’s allowed me to fulfill my creative desires. Your dad bought these things because he knew I’m creative and he wants me to be happy.”
“Do you think I should participate in the Project?”
She sighed. “I think it’s an opportunity, but I also think it has to be your decision. Your father and I will love you no matter what you decide, but we can’t tell you what to do.”

Re: Re: Drifter House 003In answer to your questions:
1. We can’t give you the specifics of House 003 until you decide to do it. You will receive a plot of land on which you will construct a home. You agree to start with nothing. In addition to these as yet unspecified goals, you will need to sire an heir and raise him or her to young adulthood. And yes, your partner and child(ren) have to live with you.
2. Once you become a young adult, you will need to leave your home forever. You can still stay in touch with your family and they can visit you.
3. Anything you take with you needs to be repaid for its full value needs to be repaid to us first. So for instance, if you take your journal, it’s worth 22 simoleons. Your first 22 simoleons will need to be repaid to us immediately.
4. You can certainly have a traditional job if you so choose.
Journal entry, Eddard HolidayI don’t know what I want to do. I’ve read through all of my grandparents’ accounts. Dad and Mom shared some photos and letters with me. I talked to Dad, Mom, Uncle Steffon, and even Aunt Liberty.
I guess I have three options:
- I stay here. Dad and Mom said I will need to get a job and pay rent until I can afford to move out.
- I move in with Uncle Steffon. He was pretty clear that I have to get a job and pay rent. Also, he said they demolished Dad’s old bedroom and the one I’d be staying in houses his frog collection. He also said he has friends over a lot and that part of being a young adult sim is learning to deal with the crappy traits we all have.
- I participate in the Project. I either live off my wits and the land or I get a job.
I keep going back to what Dad said. If I participate in the Project, it will be
mine.

I gather Eddard mailed in his acceptance today. We had a small party for him.
He's on his way to the new lot.
Good luck. I think you’re going to need it.
