(i am so sick of toddlers...)  :-\
I was thinking that, but you know, it's really the parents I'm sick of - one starving toddler begs over and over for food, and the parent ignores that, while putting a child (whose energy bar is fully green) in bed, or putting a completely different child in the high chair for no reason.  This is the first time I've played without being able to control some of the sims, and I have to say, when they are left fully on their own, I just don't like them as much.   ;D

I have been taking a break from this challenge because I got hit with a bug which forced me to go back to my last save, everything is fine now but I didn't feel like playing for a while after that.  :(

Not being able to control the parents is frustrating as I am a complete control freak when it comes to my Sims but I'm managing.

But I refuse to give up, this challenge has meaning for me, being adopted myself so I really want to give this my best shot.  (Besides I plan on skipping the next challenge so I want to make up for it with this one, lol). :)

@Rainbow Dash I feel your frustration. I took a break myself for a couple of days to resist actual violence to my PC because of those do-nothing-but-stand-around-looking-stupid-digital-parental-monstrosities.
I may limp through, but the house flipping sounds less stressful as I sometimes enjoy building more than playing the actual game. Though that varies day by day, and or challenge by challenge. ;D

@Rainbow Dash
I'm glad you got your bug sorted! I hear you and the others about the frustration.
This challenge, I could only play a few hours at a time. But I ended up "powering" through it at the end, just to be done. :D
You can do it. *waves pompoms

To everyone, I can't even imagine attempting this challenge on Normal lifespan, so there's that.
Best wishes to all!

Feeding toddlers is the most frustrating thing in Sims.  Nothing else comes anywhere close to the sheer aggravation of watching them fail to get a stupid plate of food in front of a child in a manner in which it can be eaten.  Not being able to control the adults makes it 1000 times worse.

Am I the only one who actually enjoyed the challenge? XD

There are some parts that I am really enjoying, but I don't want to mention them now in case anything strategy-wise can be construed from it.  But I do want to say that I am doing some things in the game that I've never done before, and learning some things from them that I wouldn't have known.  That is one of the things I love about the challenges.  So in spite of the frustrations and difficulties, I am glad the challenge is set up the way it is.

I'm pacing myself with this one.  I just try to get at least one sim day done each day.  Honestly though, I've been slacking on that for a few days.  I should just power it out and get it done so it's out of my head space.  I know one thing, I don't expect to be anywhere near the top.

That's fair enough. :)

The Kowalski Family did a terrible job raising their children! I feel so bad for them! But, they managed 10,325 aspiration points with a 1.58 multiplier for a grand total of 16,313.5!

So many test restarts and thinking I've got a good strategy that ultimately is a fail. I'm dying to find out what other strategies were used! Currently wondering if I can make a toddler start a fire just to watch the whole thing burn. It could be slightly satisfying.

Edit: If it's not noticeable, I'm not trying to be a downer, just funny[ish]. I'm actually having a lot of fun, though it is quite a challenge.

I mostly enjoyed it. There were some frustrations toward the end when I just wanted to be done. Overall, though, I thought it was a very unique and interesting challenge.

hi, am i too late to ask for rule clarifications?

its about mods, if they only change 'aesthetic' things they're allowed right? so id like to know if these four things count as 'aesthetic' or 'significant' (ie banned):
1) changing the names of traits. none of the traits' functions are changed, just the names.
2) more preset face and body shapes in cas.
3) making more wall objects shiftable in build mode, for example a mod for shiftable mirrors.
4) a mod to add slots to various maxis objects so that decorative items can be placed on them.

i have not used any of these in the file ive started but i just wanted to check if i can in the next challenge! :)
my pronouns are: they/them/theirs/themself & he/him/his/himself
if anyone sees the ts4 cat hoodie edited to have ear holes Please contact me IMMEDIATELY
