Okay guys, big apology. I haven't updated for ages! I kinda got a temporary job (I'm too young to have a real job), and I've been super busy with that. I'll try to update more regularly. But anyway-

Chapter 22- How Does Your Garden Grow?

TUESDAY

Esther tends to some tomato plants that are wilted. She is a apparently ignoring that fact that her lack of watering was the thing that wilted them in the first place. Nether less, for Esther, nothing is like being out in the garden on a sunny morning, especially since she is well and truly done with school.

Frank has kindly agreed to fixing the new sprinklers so they go on and off automatically. There shall be no more wilted plants!

Billi is really into this whole 'laundry' thing.

Poor Frank. He's on a night shift. He left at nine, and didn't get home until much later.

WEDNESDAY

For some unknown reason, Billi decided to get up while her daughter was making an early breakfast, and start telling her ghost stories. Esther is not amused.

More gardening for Esther. Now, however, she is making quite a bit by selling her produce at the Consignment store.

Frank got a promotion yesterday, and after a quick game of one, on...um, zero, he leaves for the daily grind.

Um, that looks.. Fun? Billi always gets stuck with these jobs, because although this is an activity that Frank would really relish, he is, as usual, at work.

Billi has been invited to Pabalo's party! Apparently, his guests of choice is swimwear-clad old ladies.
Billi- I am not old! I am still young!
At heart, maybe.

Dispite the fact that he has a wife, (Who is also one of the elderly swimming ladies.) he seems to be giving Billi quite a bit of attention.
Pabalo- Helloooo, hot stuff!
Billi- Told you I was still young!

THURSDAY

Esther and Frank share a quick breakfast together, as Billi is still in bed, after her late night. Frank has to quickly rush of to work, but Esther's days stretch ahead of her, long and boring. A few mere days ago, the prospect of no school, just gardening, seemed amazing. Now the fun is all but gone for poor Esther. There is nothing else to do. Her garden takes to much work for her to get a job... Or does it?

Frank has to give vaccinations today. And guess where the "Clinic" is? At the local grave yard. Rather ironic, hey?

Remember Kayla Miff? She was the teen that Billi met during her first few days here. Kayla and Billi didn't really... hit off.
Frank-  Okay, here we go.
Kayla- Hang on aren't you Billi Tunic's son? Wait! I don't want an injection, any;
Frank- All done!

At least Esther has a rather sweet new outfit to wear while toiling away.

I think Billi may be hinting at something... But we can't afford a pool just now.

Frank, being the good boy he is, tries to keep up-to-date with his Medical journals. That's why he's reading Jimmy Sprocket.
Frank- Ahem..

I'm so sorry about the mistake guys! You must have thought I was slacking off on you! :P

YAY update!! It's nice to see the kids helping out in the garden together. I suppose an upgraded sprinkler system is just what no-watering-can-for-me Esther needs.

Woo! Update!

I love Billi's dress. Is it new or was it there and I didn't notice?

And in the first picture I almost thought the green skill bar was Esther's, and only afterward realized that it was Frank's. ;D

No, I meant Billi's, in the last picture.

That's from the base game.

I know that it's from the base game. I am just asking if Ruby has changed Billi's clothes from the last time or not.

GASP!
I just noticed, that for some reason, only a tiny bit of the chapter was posted! How did this happen? I shall have to go fix that...

I love Billi's dress. Is it new or was it there and I didn't notice?
That is actually her sleepwear. ;)

What kind of job is it?
I've finished now, but the job was a basically just organizing everything at a hardware warehouse. Very dusty and boring, but well paid!

EDIT- Done! Enjoy, guys. :)

Oh my gosh! I am so sorry guys. I have had a lot going on in RL at the moment... School work, friends, family, you name it! So much for trying to update more regularly.... :P
But, if you can forgive me, on with the show!

Chapter 23- Cue The Soap Opera

FRIDAY

An average Friday morning in the Tunic household. Billi and Esther are both outside, Esther gardening, and Billi working on her topiary skills.

Sammy is invited over, and he and Esther share a summery kiss amongst the flowers.

Esther takes a long, deep breath. This is the moment she has been waiting for. Will she be the princess, or the old spinster? It all depends on Fate now. And Sammy's mood bar.

Esther- Sammy, will you marry me?

For a moment, Sammy is dumb-stuck. Then, he grabs Esther in a tight embrace.
Sammy- Yes.
Just a whisper, but it means so much.

She runs to tell Frank. He grins the biggest grin Esther has ever seen. She thought he might feel like jealous, angry even, but all she can see is joy for his little sister.
Frank- Hey, go tell Mum. She'll be over the moon.
But sadly, Frank is wrong. Very wrong indeed.

Esther rushes in, all a flutter, and breathlessly informs her mother of the joyful news. Billi's jaw drops.
Billi- What?! How could you! Don't you dare marry him, you disobedient girl! He is not good enough for you!
She screams in stormy rage. Billi just manages to reclaim her voice enough to speak. Or yell.
Esther- Shut up! I hate you! I will marry him, nothing you can do!
Her big green eyes fill with tears, and she flees from the room.

Billi goes to steam outside. As she ferociously pours a drink, she is sure that she has made the right choice.

But, still, Esther is equally sure that she right.

SATURDAY

After an almost sleepless night, Esther gets up for some gardening.

Billi sculpts, carefully ignoring her daughter. Until she drives off.

Billi panics. Not knowing where her daughter is going really hurts Billi. Then she sees the taxi turn the corner into Shabby McTabby's Watering Hole.

Billi realizes how much it hurt to think her daughter was leaving for just a moment. What if she left for life?

Meanwhile, Esther is at the bar with her new fiancé, talking and laughing. She is putting on a cheery face, but deep down, her heart is breaking. Although she knows that for her mother, nobody will ever be good enough, it still hurts. What if her mother never forgives her?

Then, suddenly, her mother walks in. Billi walks straight over to her daughter.

Billi- Esther, my beautiful girl, please forgive me.
Esther is shocked, but pulls her mother in for a hug. By the time it's finished, both girls are crying.

Billi soon is chatting happily to Sammy.
Billi- Actually, you aren't too bad!
Oops. Accidentally said out loud. Sammy just grins.

Back at home, Esther is recounting the series of events to Frank.
Esther- Seriously, we should have our own soap-opera!
Frank is just glad everything has turned out okay for two of his favorite people.

SUNDAY

Billi, yet again, attempts to get to work on time.

Esther gets ready. For what? You may ask. Well, yesterday, a deal was made between the Tunic girls. Esther wanted a quiet wedding. Billi, predictably, wanted a huge bash. Finally, they agreed on a solution.

Yep. It's time for the bachelorette party of the year!
Esther- Mum? Are you sure I don't look... Well, a bit... promiscuous?
Billi- Love, you look fabulous! Pa-tay!

And par-tay she did.
Half the ladies from Ruby Isle turned up to the Disco Nites' Club. So did a few scantily-clad army men. ;)

Esther was rather shy at first, but soon, thanks to good ol' 'peer pressure' (Mainly her mum), she was soon wearing a rather revealing ensemble.

In the end, the only reasons that Esther agreed to go home was because
a) Most of the guests were passed out on the dance floor,
b) She was completely soaked in nectar, and finally
c) Her WEDDING was tomorrow!

Thanks for reading, and sorry again for the delay.
Please leave comments! ;D

LOVED IT! :D Well, it shocked me when Billi started yelling at her daughter because she got engaged. I thought she wanted the legacy to continue? Great story, and I'll be back around for more.
