2018 TS4 Building Challenges Discussion Thread

Dear Simmers,

Another apology from me I'm afraid. Due to just simply not double checking my double checking I missed an entry.

We have wiped the voting clean, added the missed entry and now ask you to very kindly go back through, take a look at all the entries again (including the newly added one) and cast your TWO votes again.

As we have more than 8 participants everyone who votes can have two votes.

(A special personal apology will be issued privately to the missed entry so as to preserve the secret identity of our builders.)

And another repeat failure from the building team... we have found that yet again we missed someone out.

At this point in time MrsFlynn and I have removed the voting post and are rechecking our lists and so on. We'll also be having a good look at how to structure this in such a way that we are not tripping over each other and dying under a mountain of PM's which is where the errors have been occurring.

When I am completely sure we have included everyone and all the' i's have been dotted and t's crossed' MrsFlynn will repost the final voting post and at which point it will be once again open for everyone to look at all the entries and for everyone to make their two votes.

All participants will be receiving a PM from me soon.

Sorry folks, the system we were trying to use this year is an obvious failure, we'll get this sorted and finalized before moving on so that the rest of the year runs smoothly.

When implementing a new system there is bound to be some rough patches, so don't be too hard on yourselves.
I, for one, am super excited to see all the awesome entries and the additional challenges to come.
It's going to be a great year! :-D

Whoa! For real? And on New Game Pack Day, too? What an awesome day for me!

I absolutely loved this challenge. It was right up my alley. Building from floor plans is my fave and trying to adapt them for a dynasty specifically was really challenging and fun. In fact, I loved it so much I did it all over again with another floor plan I found online (although I only stuck to the budget with the official challenge build. Building on a budget is not my fave. ) . I've uploaded both to the gallery with the #carlsguiderdc tag.

Thanks so much to the challenge team for a really fun and inspiring challenge! I just loved seeing how differently everyone's houses came out even though we all started from the same spot! I'm super jazzed for the next one!

Never judge a book by it's cover but some homes can be read like a book. What Life State lives behind those doors? I think we can tell at a glance.
