Late Night Celebrities

Hey everybody! I'm one of those people who don't want to move on from good old Sims 3... And I have some questions about the celebrity status thing in Late Night. I disabled celebrities a long time ago because the paparazzis etc  were driving me insane... However, I'm considering re-enabling them, and I wonder if the celebrities in Bridgeport will get their stars back or if they have to start from scratch?
Also, does the acting career require celebrity status and if so, how does it work if celebrity status is disabled?

I think their default celebrity status comes back and you need to be celebrity or else it would be harder to be promoted.

Yes, the acting career requires a celebrity status. You can't get that w/the celebrity feature turned off though.
