Hello ^^ It's been a while since I've posted up anything for Sims. I saw the Ten Gen Townie Dynasty shortly before life got in the way. I haven't even gotten to play Sims in several months (shortly after Parenthood came out). When I returned, I thought it would be the perfect way to come back... as crazy as it sounds XD
My founder was chosen because she holds a special place in my heart. She was the spouse of my Immortal Dynasty founder. I've loved her quite a lot since then so she was the perfect choice. Now, I will say that I'm not sure how much of an actual story this will be. May just do a kind of summary with commentary, but we will see. Without further ado, here we go!
First"Watcher, where's Han? Where's Ripley?"
Oh Ulrike... I'm sorry. I was hoping you wouldn't remember that past life. The file is safe, but since so much has changed, I don't quite dare play again until I've read the new rules. That and since we've gotten several new packs..."O-oh... W-will I ever see them again?"
Yes! Of course! Just- not right now. First, I have a job for you. It's your time now, Ulrike. It's time for you to be a founder of your own dynasty. Do you think you can handle that?"I- I will try, Watcher! As long as I can rejoin Han and Ripley someday."
You have my word on that. That's right. My founder is Ulrike Faust.
Her and I didn't waste any time. She painted herself and her roommate very quickly to get that out of the way. Then, she immediately went to San Myshuno. The Watcher decided that posters would make a nice museum collection, especially since 10 days go pretty quickly. So she found herself in San Myshuno.
While waiting for posters to spawn (and repawn, of course), Ulrike decided to keep up with her painting.
Now, the Watcher, of course, had an idea of who she wanted for Ulrike. And let me know tell ya... Ulrike wasn't having it. To be honest, it's hard for me to pair a Sim with a different spouse than they've had before in my games. But still, had to be done. Of course, getting Ulrike to meet this spouse was sooo hard! He showed up where she was a few times, but she always managed to miss him. In fact, she only got to see him from afar no less than 5 times. This is the closest she got to him at first:
But eventually, the Watcher took the initiative and sent her to his apartment. Now, there were a couple reasons for this: one, Ulrike knew his name, since he is quite a famous art critic. That and he's quite handsome, in a city slicker way. It didn't take long for him to appreciate her beauty and her straight-forward charm.
Since things were progressing just as planned and Diego was more than smitten (even Ulrike seemed rather taken with him), it was time for Ulrike to place her museum pieces. (Special thanks to
@saltpastillen for her gorgeous museum)
Now, it was time for her to move in. Of course, she needed to wait until the next day to see him. Except, he invited her to a party at the Bluffs. This was excellent news and perfect timing. They met with a kiss.
And since there was a convenient bush there-
Eventually, after a bit of hob-nobbing with some of the other guests, Ulrike got Diego alone. And she popped the question.
Since he was enchanted with her, he said yes.
After explaining to him that she was to be the founder of a Dynasty, he agreed to an elopement. It was a quick and simple ceremony, just the two of them- and their Watcher, of course.
Ulrike was quite taken with her new home. 1020 Alto Apartments in San Myshuno was quite a step up from the little cottage she shared with Maaike in Windenburg. She may miss the quiet little town, but there was something lively about the gorgeous city, especially when she was near the window painting.
Of course, they had to celebrate their nuptials (and let's face it, they needed an heir as soon as possible).
Soon enough, it was confirmed that their celebration had been a success. Diego was pleased when Ulrike told him. In fact, she couldn't even wait until he had gotten in the door from work to tell him.
I have to say, it's been fun only controlling one Sim. This Watcher is a micromanager, so it's been a little difficult getting used to, but it's fascinating to see how they act when not being controlled. Diego is quite taken with his wife and the potential of their child.
Ulrike's pregnancy was spent painting, raking up aspiration points and interacting with Diego for more satisfaction points from whims. Finally, though, labor began. Rather than heading to the hospital, she decided on a home birth. She was having second thoughts though as pressure built.
With a lot of breathing (and screaming), her child was born. Welcome to Jewel Faust-Lobo, the heir.
Diego is as taken by his daughter as he is her mother. Maybe more so, in some ways. He's proving to be an amazing dad.
Ulrike loves her daughter, but she can't help but think of another child and another husband out there. So she decided to try to help calm her mind. Yoga isn't easy, but she's finding it somewhat calming, even if she doesn't quite have the poses down.
Then it was time for Jewel to become a toddler. Ulrike's world shrank to that tiny little bundle.
She'd never forget Riley- or Han- but Jewel needed her now. She had Jewel and Diego. They were a family. An adorable family at that.
Diego is a wonderful father, as stated already, but it's just cute to watch him with Jewel, even when she's having a tantrum.
But even with Diego's help, raising a toddler is pretty difficult. Even after the free day, where the Watcher could watch Diego and Jewel, it seemed to be more chaotic. Still, as Ulrike sat there, meditating, she was happy. She would see Han and Ripley again, but for now, she had Diego and Jewel to look after and a Dynasty to oversee.
