[BUG] Greet Patient Warmly Interaction is Gone

Hi all! New member here, was unable to pose this question in the Sims Forum, so joined here.

Anyway, I no longer have the option to greet patients warmly at my vet clinic. It's either greet patient, or greet patient impatiently. Greet patient is fine, but greet impatiently is usually my only option, and it lowers my vet score.

Anyone else have this issue?

I've done everything, reset the game, cleared my cache, etc.

Hi welcome to the forum.  I'll pop into game and test this out. Sometimes that option does disappear. Not sure why, maybe to do with the needs levels of your controlled sim?

@mamabear24  I haven't got the greet warmly either. There isn't a bug report about this either so probably needs more testing before we could make one.

If anyone else could test for this too that would be awesome.

OK tested in new game no cc no mods and with a never before played sim.

Play tested through all 10 levels of the vet skill. The 'Greet Warmly' action is missing in all 10 levels.

Bug Report here (click) for those who can add a 'me too'.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and so far, I've been given the greet patient option for all pets. I haven't been stuck with the greet patient impatiently.

It must have something to do with the patch. Before the patch, there were some bugs in my game, but nothing I couldn't work around.

Well, least you now have greet patient available I guess. It's definitely a bug and yep, I agree, probably the patch did something unexpected. I think as long as you don't use the greet impatiently your sim-vet should be fine but, as you'll know, greet impatiently lowers your star rating. lol Only to be expected! Can't be rude to paying patients and all that.

So, I've continued playing, and still don't have the greet warmly option, but noticed that as long as my Sim is not uncomfortable, she can greet patients normally.

I'm doing the Cats Rule, Dogs Drool challenge, and am just starting out, so all my equipment is beat up, and makes my Sim uncomfortable, so I have to walk outside, and then greet my patients.

Not ideal, but until I can afford to upgrade my clinic, at least it's a workaround for now.

i think its has got to do with needs because I had really bad fun and my sim was tense so I upped his fun and the greet warmly interaction came back. Don't know when you actually asked this but just wanted to help

Hi @holly_sims  welcome to the forum.  I agree, sometimes it can be due to your sims needs being low. Sadly if you get this particular bug it doesn't matter of your sim is in a perfect state or not... the greet warmly just doesn't appear.

I've been getting the "greet warmly" interaction to show up, but it might be because my vet Sim has the Animal Lover aspiration, with the Animal Affection trait, and she makes friends with her patients first. Also, welcome to the forum @holly_sims .

I have all of these myself, although I am playing with mods and MC Command Center and if my sim is uncomfortable--usually because of animal mess, she doesn't have the interaction. I've been moving her to another room, wait for her to become comfortable, and then queue up the action. It's not optimal, but it does work.

I've got one game where the greeting just has disappeared and two games where it works as normal. Just one of those bugs that you either have or don't have.
