@simemie

Yeah, I only needed a couple more as well XD the thing that annoyed me the most was that I was waiting for over a day in order for more plants to spawn... and then realized I could use the seed packs... I facepalmed so hard XD

@Rainbow Dash - I hope I am not embarrassing you, but I have happened to notice you on a couple times since I have closed the event. I am surprised you have not popped in this thread to say something. I did send you a PM. Congrats again on your win. We're all anxious to hear your strategy.

That's because I always leave myself logged in and never bother to log out, I should probably kick that habit, lol.

To everyone, I know you have all been waiting patiently for my strategy and I know I'm keeping you waiting, I'm sorry guys, everything is super, crazy busy in my flat right now and I've been having trouble finding the time. Living in a different time zone to most of you isn't helping. Stand by for my strategy guys and thanks for being so patient, I hope you understand. :)

First I purchased the cheapest lot in Forgotten Hollows for Morrigan and built her a tiny shack with nothing but a computer, stereo, incense burner and a painting. Then she bought a Wishing Well, made an offering and wished for simoleons, this was done every eight hours as that is the cool down period of the well. I toggled through the Vampire and Fortune aspirations to buy the Speed Reader and Morning Sim rewards, made Morrigan very focused through aforementioned objects and had her read the Vampire Tomes.

Upon becoming a Minor Vampire, I gave Morrigan the Creation power and a couple of ranks in Occult Student, then she started turning Sims. I maxed out Occult Student, took Bat Form as soon she was able and made her do Dark Mediation whenever needed to top up her energy. She also trained with Vlad that night to knock out a milestone, after that I ignored it as it takes up too much time. I only let her drink deeply once to top up her thirst, she only needed the one time and it takes too long. By then she had enough aspirations points to grab Night Owl as well.

Returning home at dawn, Morrigan maxed the Vampire Lore skill by the end of that morning, grabbed the Cause Hallucination power and a couple of ranks in Child Of The Moon. (She was a Prime Vampire by then). She spent that entire afternoon and evening at the gym casting Cause Hallucination on every Sim walked in the door, maxing out Child Of The Moon in the process. I also positioned her so she wouldn't have to keep moving from Sim to Sim to cast her spell. By the time she was finished that evening she was a Master Vampire who took and maxed out the Vamperic Strength power.

As it was nightfall by then, she returned to Forgotten Hollows, mixed some Vampire Cures, then proceeded to spar with and cure the four random Vampires and the three pre-mades running around. By the time she was done, she was a Grand Master and had maxed out the Sun Resistance power.

It was the third morning by then so I had her mix the last few Vampire Cures she needed, selling everything in her house (Except the mixology bar) and the Vampire Tomes she had received from the Vampire Council to afford the last couple of drinks she needed.

She then invited over some of the Vampires she had turned, (Who completed their transformation upon arriving), sparred with and cured them before curing herself. Then she was done. :)

Thanks for sharing @Rainbow Dash ! I particularly liked your positioning strategy in the gym.

After she cures herself, does Morrigan end up with Cullen or Solas? (Or was her name not inspired by Dragon Age? #TeamSolas, that jerk)

I'd like to post a few more notes, detailing some statistics and a few things and why I picked the strategy I did. (I hope nobody minds).

My strategy was simple, turns Sims as soon as possible, find the fastest way to rank up and make money in the shortest time possible.

In my practice round, I tested and timed every Vampire Power to see which one was the quickest. It was Cause Hallucination which only takes five minutes to cast, as opposed to Drink Deeply and Vamperic Training, which take around twenty minutes each, hence why I didn't bother with them. Child Of The Moon and Occult Student are the fastest way to rank up a Vampire and they save a lot of energy, which enabled Morrigan to spam Cause Hallucination for so long.

Morrigan's powers were, Creation, Occult Student (Maxed), Bat Form, Cause Hallucination, Child Of The Moon (Maxed), Vamperic Strength (Maxed) and Sun Resistance (Maxed) in that order. Her weaknesses were, Withered Stomach, Sleep Of The Undead, Fitful Slumber (Maxed) and Undead Aura. I took those because they wouldn't affect her and she wouldn't be needing sleep anyway, that's what Dark Mediation is for.

She made a total of seven wishes on that well, two jackpots, two positive, one neutral, one negative and one overwhelmingly negative. She got two Vampire Tomes and two packets of Garlic Seeds from the Vampire Council, she used the former to help fund her Vampire Cures and the latter to make them.

Morrigan's traits were Quick Learner (From Master Vampire aspiration), Genius (To get that focused moodlet), Cheerful (To boost  her mood) and Mean because Mean Sims get a bunch of positive moodlets after winning a fight. (I think she got Savant at one point too). Lot traits were Private Dwelling, Registered Vampire Lair and Sunny Aspect. (For the mood boost.

I ignored her needs for the most part, sparring took care of the fun and social needs, Dark Mediation kept her energy topped up, she only needed to feed once and I used a Hygiene Potion on her when she got stinky.

I have a confession to make. I have been obsessed with Vampires ever since they were released and have played them constantly since so I was super excited to this challenge!  ;D So I had a lot of experience with Vampires going into this, including with the Wishing Well, I use that a lot in my casual games but even I learned some things by doing this, it was a lot of fun.  :D

Congrats @Rainbow Dash for your win. I liked the strategy around learning the VL skill fast and the wishing well. I contemplated the wishing well but my used strategy meant i wasn't around enough to use it every 8 hours. Nice simple strategy.

I have a quick question about the last sentence

She then invited over some of the Vampires she had turned, (Who completed their transformation upon arriving), sparred with and cured them before curing herself. Then she was done. :)

Nothing in your well detailed strategy indicated what you did with the other 7 vampires you turned as you said you spent the time in the gym and then sparred/cured 7 vampirres in FH but i thought that "creating" a vampire was only complete when you saw their transformation?

Thanks. :)

Okay, it looks like I didn't explain that clearly enough, probably because I was rushing as I was super busy today, let me explain things a little more clearly.

On the first evening, Morrigan turned thirteen Vampires, Victor, Lily, Geoffry, Nancy, Mila, Marcus, Katrina, Bob, Eliza, Don, Travis, Johnny and Sergio, in that order.

On the second evening she sparred with and cured seven Vampires, the randoms and pre-mades. (I think she sparred with Vlad and Lilith on the first night if memory serves correctly. She didn't find Caleb until the second night).

On the third day, she did invite all thirteen Sims she had turned to her house, I meant to say, only some at a time, not just some, so they wouldn't burn in the sun for too long. She only sparred with six of them and cured five of them as the randoms and pre-mades counted for the rest and she cured herself.

Vampires sparred with and cured are these guys: Vlad, Caleb, Lilith, Thaddus Neely, Daichi Ishikawa, Ritvik Gandhi, Shingo Ikeda, Geoffry, Nancy, Mila, Bob, Eliza and Katrina.

I hope this clears up any confusion.  :)

Congrats to @Rainbow Dash for the first win of the year!

I didn't actually participate in this one, but thanks to all the players who shared their strategies. I got some good ideas for future challenges.

@Metropolis Man You were right. I didn't have time for this one. But don't you worry, the handiness championship will not be missed. I'm looking forward to it!

Nice of you to pop in, @lesleyj42. :) Good luck in the handiness event. I am finishing up my file in that one the next day or two.
