Sims 4 Is Unable to Go Online
-- Origin Goes online without problem, but Sims 4 is unable to go online!

Here are a few troubleshooting tips to try:

1. Check to make sure The Gallery isn't having issues or is offline. Link below also more in-depth troubleshooting tips:

2. Do have a Full-Access Origin account? -- Full-Access Origin accounts are for those that are 14 years old or older.

Read more with the link below:

For those that are under the age of 14, the account is setup as a child account, which doesn't have the ability to use some of the online features. (Like online access may be disabled) They are setup to be parental supervised.

*** If you are unsure of if you have a full-access account or a child account, Contact EA's customer service to have them check on your account. Please see note at bottom of this post on how to contact EA.

3. Make sure you've got Online Features Access checked (turned on)
Go To ---->   Options Menu > Game Options > Other

A pop up message will appear that says: You are offline, would you like to go online? Click Go Online.

4. If this doesn't work, try it this way:

- Go to Options and turn on Online Features Access.
- Click apply changes, and click stay offline.
- Click the Open Library/Gallery button, select the Gallery tab. -- This should allow you to be online to access and load the gallery.

5. Repair Game:
In Origin > Games Library, right-click on Sims 4 and select Repair. - Do note this repairs the game's install files for the actual game. It does not make any changes to the saved game files. Meaning that your saved games are safe, they won't be deleted. If you'd like you can copy the Sims 4 folder to a USB key.

6. Turn off Origin In-Game:
Open Origin, Select Origin > Application Settings > Origin In Game tab and click the on/off switch to disable Origin In Game. - This deactivates Origin In-Game, as it has been known to cause problems with games.

7. Try Resetting your Sims 4 folder

8. Ensure that your Firewall and/or Antivirus are not blocking the connection. Look up your antivirus online to see how to allow Origin.

9. Make sure you are the administrator. - Right-click on Origin desktop icon and select Run as Administrator. Otherwise try the tips in this article: https://help.ea.com/en/help/origin/origin/my-game-downloaded-through-origin-but-will-not-install/#2

10. Exit the game, and Origin. Run a program like Ccleaner, and it's registry cleaner. Then try getting into the game to see if you can go online in-game.

Ccleaner - https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download (Standard Edition is Free)
-- This helps clean up temporary files, internet cache files and other files that are left behind that are no longer being used.

*** Please note that this may not totally fix the problem, but it won't hurt either.
