Transfiguring Spirits
« on: December 16, 2010, 09:08:12 PM »
My Ghost Hunter sim captured enough friendly spirits to fill up the Carters XL Display Case. I activated Irreversible Transfiguration, but I didn't get an urn. What'd I do wrong? If they all need to be the same age, I'm gonna scream. :(

What did you get? I tried that once and got urn. 8 spiritis no matter type or age. I saw on Simwikia some recepies related to type of spirits and possible traits of ghost.

You get an urn with doing that? Really? And the ghost that comes with the urn you can than add to the household or so? What special ghost is that?

http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Transfiguration

It's not a special ghost, just an urn of random Sim who you can resurrect as any other ghost via opportunity.

It seems that they need to be of same type, I really tried it once and got it instantly.

I just had to check it. Putting same type but different age gave me an urn. Putting different types returned souls as they were. Now I have a middle size tomb of Serge Moreau in inventory.

Simstar, have you tried dragging them to display? How are they arrange on display? If there is no place for 8, try rearranging them so they would be placed like this (this combination is not working BTW):

Ok, I got it to work, but ALL the ghosts she's getting are FEMALE! The whole point of doing this is so that she can get a HUSBAND! Any ideas?

You could try going out into the town and finding a living male to marry.  ;D  Or if you really want to resurrect a ghost to marry, try going to the mausoleum and "Manage the Dead" to put someone's grave in your inventory.  I think then you could bring the ghost back.

p.s.  You really do just make me laugh.  :D

Oh, just because your point of view on things is so cute.  Like going to all the trouble of collecting spirits and transfiguring them so you can get a ghost so your Sim can have a husband.  The way you phrased it was like you want any husband at all and just didn't think to go meet a living townie.  I don't think that's what you really did, but it just tickled me to read it.  :)

I have only used the ghosts once on the transfiguration case, I was not to impressed by it, but you gotta try it just to see what happens.

Simstar, your take on the game is so refreshing and well, like Pam said cute.  Younger people just have different approaches and ideas, which is a good thing.  Sometimes, I have no imagination and get so frustrated at playing my game.  Don't every change Simstar, you are one in a million. :D

Haha, I've noticed that. ;) I've noticed by the way of how you have choosen the words in your posts compared to how you did that in the past.
Indeed your way of how you see the game is cute in my opinion and even when I'm just ghosting by over a topic I can actually learn something from your topics. Or else just laugh because your funny.
