Social dead people

I've been doing the Drifter Challenge which is generational, consequently a lot of my sims' families are dead now. Which is fine. Except they're constantly calling, asking my sims to dinner, breakfast, to come over to hang out. Is this a glitch or just some random thing I can't do anything about?

Do you mean your sim is getting phone calls from ghosts? Are these ghosts still visible in your sims relationship panel?

As far as I know, these are simply the workings of the game. Why dead folk should be capable of these things eludes me :-\
