Celebrity Status Grows = Changing Traits?

So I'm curious if this has happened to someone else or if it's just me.

I just got Late Night yesterday and made a Sim who had Bookworm, Good, Neurotic, Shy, Family-Oriented. I wanted her to be a Professional Author so naturally she spent a lot of time shut into her apartment. One day she got the moodlet from being inside too long so I let her go down to a local bar for a drink. She ran into a one-star celebrity there so I had her chat with him. She ended up impressing him enough to gain a celebrity star status. All of a sudden I noticed that her interaction choices had changed. I checked her traits and Shy, Family-Oriented and Neurotic had changed to Insane, Party-Animal, and Daredevil!

I really did not want these traits! Has this happened to anyone else or is my computer just really buggy?

I've had quite a few sims become celebrities and have never had it result in a change in traits, nor have I heard any reports of this in the forum.

She probably had crazy drink at that bar, and those traits will be back to what they used to be after couple of hours.

First I have never heard of this and I would do as Anuksha suggested before getting to worried:

If the traits do not turn back to normal you can follow this to get them back.

Ctrl+Shift+C (Cheat Console Opens)
testingcheatsenabled true (Enter)
Shift+Click your Sim
Select - 'Change Active Sims Traits'
The Trait options window will pop up and you can change the Sims traits around then click the tick and your Sim will have their traits back.
Ctrl+Shift+C
testingcheatsenabled false

(I recommend turning testingcheats off if you are not going to use it all the time, as some of the options that come from it could mess up things)

I've had traits change, too, and I thought it was a bug in the game.  Then I read somewhere about the drinks and realized that's what it was.  I don't know if it's specifically Crazy drinks or what, but my Sims' traits change when they drink.  They change back soon, though.

The crazy drink does change one of your traits to daredevil for a short period of time. I have had it happened to me and I was staring at the screen in confusion many times until it clicked.

From Mixology in sims wikia, under Drink Effects:

    * Better improvement on Fun.
    * Some might cause sickness.
    * Better romantic interactions.
    * Increase skill learning ability for four hours.
    * Improves mood.
    * One of a Sim's traits will be replaced with the Insane, Daredevil, or Party Animal traits. This drink effect lasts for 5 hours and will only occur if your Sim has had one of the three Crazy Drinks (see chart above).

On the "chart above", the crazy drinks are Big Mistake (Dive Bar), Deathflower Drops (Vampire Lounge), and KTHXBYE (Dance Club).

My sim who was an evil loner had the drink that is called something like KHTKXJ? Her traits changed to Party Animal and loads of others, she still had a bad time because she was stuck with the crowded moodlet the whole night, but her traits did change back.

The drink is called KTHXBAI.  It's chat speak for "Ok, thanks.  Bye."
