[BUG] Can't adopt pets?

OK ten minutes in an I already had a glitch or bug. Grrr. Went to adopt a can guy shows up drops off a carrier, but no cat. He hangs out until he needs to pee and leaves. Still no cat. He left the carrier though in the middle of the hall right in the way. Can't interact with it, move it, sell it, or delete it. Still no cat. Needless to say. I am not impressed with the expansion. Well the expansion is very sim like given how it already glitched out on me. An before anyone blames CC and mods, I don't use any. The game is buggy enough already.

@scoed  A few people have been reporting this. Let me look around for some answers and I'll get back to you (I'll edit this post with more info.)
