localthumbcache.package
file will appear directly in the Sims 4 folder after each play session.
As seen in the photo below: Click image for larger view.
I delete mine after every time I play when I am using mods, not so often if I am playing vanilla but still delete it regularly.
Everyone's game will produce one so make sure you are looking for a
file (
not a folder) when you open the Sims 4 folder. It is something to keep in mind as deleting the cache will many times clear out minor bugs and actually not so minor bugs, that are caused by cache issues.
If you use mods it is a must to delete in between adding new mods or if you remove some etc. Basically any time you change anything in your mods folder (cc included) you should be deleting this file.
This is a file you should probably worry about a little
@Saltypaws , it's important for keeping your game running well when using mods or cc in particular. Remember it is a file, not a folder. You should
not be deleting any folder named 'cache'
Where do I find this Localthumbcache.package file? I can only see something called Onlinethumbnaailcache. :/
The Onlinethumbnaailcache is a folder. Do not delete this folder. You can delete the thumbnails that from time to time build up
in this folder. This occurs when you use the online Gallery.

Path to the cache package file = Documents>EA>The Sims 4.
