Beautifully Decorated?
« on: September 13, 2017, 04:47:23 AM »
While I have gotten the decorated and nicely decorated moodlet many times, I have never been able to get the beautifully decorated one, in houses I build or houses like the landgraab one.
I have added the most expensive furniture, curtains, plants, statues and painting but I just don't get to that point . What am I doing wrong?

I am playing the Sims 3 basegame on origin on os x if that's of any help, fully updated.

I've tried to search on this issue, and can't tell if you're really doing anything wrong. When I've gotten the beautifully decorated moodlet, it's been purely on accident. So all I can really say is keep trying. Some have suggested giving different paintings a try. If you have a painter with a high painting skill you can try having them paint something and hang it to see if you get the moodlet.

It seems to be related to the value of objects in the room. I tear down the walls in the living areas and make one big room and keep adding valuable paintings until it registers. With smaller rooms, like bedrooms and especially bathrooms, it's much more difficult.

Thank you. I had taken a little break from the sims 3, so I really wasn't sure if it'd always been an issue or if I just forgot something. I will try different paintings because I think I should have more than enough paintings but maybe some don't register.

That's actually quite a clever idea. Some of my sims are writers so I really care about the moodlet. Looks like I'm gonna break down the wall between their offices and the living area.
