Bugs, but no bug spawner

Hello everyone,  I have built my own resort on a large island lot.  I have a staff member who is unable to get at some bugs beside the pool.  He does stomp on them, but to no avail.  There is no spawner and I don't know how to get rid of the bugs or what causes them in the first place.  There is a pool bar but no food anywhere near the pool.  Can anyone give me ideas on what causes the bugs and how to get rid of them.

I guess it depends on what type of bugs you have.  I once had something similar and it was a lost spoiled plate of food attracting flies.  I gave my Sim the Neat trait and told him to clean house.  He found the plate and the flies disappeared.  This may not be your problem because it's a resort, but it might be worth a try.

Thanks Mags for responding.  Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think it's my problem.  I think I have a hidden or random spawner on the lot because it's not on the lot through buydebug.  I've seen the bugs, red ones.  At this point, they'll just have to complain and move on.
