The "Je'taime bug"
« on: July 27, 2017, 12:50:04 PM »
In my main game, I've traveled my two sims into Al Simahara. One of them had to go back home after 3 days, the other stayed longer. When I sent the first back, I was no longer able to control it, but I assume it is how it works. Now the problem started when I tried to send my other sim back home, here's the things that happened, after I loaded the game several times and reassured that everything goes the same all the time:

First of all, when I want to go home, I always have to call my phone twice.
After the second time, the "loading home" screen appears - and then I am on the same spot where I was before, i.e. I didn't leave Al Simahara
Also, after the loading screen, I can't do anything. I can't click anywhere, can't control my sim, can't open world editor. When I wait a little , my sim starts to sing Je'taime, and does nothing else, even if I wait for hours. It just keeps singing.
I've tried to open world editor before calling the phone to go home, and here's what I've found out:
My house in the original town (Bridgeport) disappeared, only had an empty lot in it's place. I didn't find the other sim as well whom I sent home earlier. I should also mention that my house was built on an empty lot in the north-east part of Bridgeport, near the superstar's mansions.
When I'd try to switch households there just isn't an option for it.

Ive read a lot of articles and possible solutions on the topic but I wasn't able to find one working yet. I even tried to delete the .nhd file of  Egypt, as I've read in an admin's post, but then the save file won't even load up, as it should, according to the post ("We've encountered a fatal error while loading up your save file, you should restart the game").
So now I'm asking in personal if someone encountered this glitch/bug before, and what is it really? Have my save file became corrupted? I don't have any save from earlier, that's why I'd need your help, because I have tens of hours in this one, and would not want to start everything over again if it's not necessary, as I also hate to use cheats to speed up my progress.

I haven't come across this bug but you might be better asking on the official forums where the simmer 'igazor' may be able to help you.

I know it's been a little while, but did you try going back to a backup save?
