Register for Carl's Sims 3 Gallery - Phasing Out

I hope you'll tell me you no longer have the option. All that feature does is link albums together and we don't really want that, so I've just disabled it and cleared the keyword on your Chili Dynasty. For a normal user account it shouldn't even be there now. Is this so?

You didn't actually include the names of any pictures when you were doing your test earlier.

 This would be the tagging that you use to post an image as is without the "s in the first brackets.  You were trying to link directly to your album which didn't really work.  Make sure to copy the part with the name of the picture as showed in the first post.

Quick question for Carl, or anyone that can answer. I'm on the 5th try for my Dynasty, and I have a folder on the gallery named The Halliwell's 5 and I also have one named Halliwell Dynasty which has pictures from the 4th attempt in it. Now the 4th attempt is in the graveyard, is it ok to delete that folder and pictures?

Isn't that your own choice? Why would you want to delete it? Don't you want to keep it or do you need the space? You can always place it somewhere else, if you might want it back some day.

Yeah it is my choice, but I don't want to mess anything up on here. Why I would want to delete it is I have over 400 pictures in that folder, and I don't want to make Carl run out of room, especially since that attempt was moved to the graveyard since I failed.

It would be best for the Forum if the pictures remain in the thread.  400 is a lot of pictures.  Did you use all 400 of them in your 4th attempt?  If not, then I would suggest only uploading the images you actually put in your story in the future.  I sort and delete mine before uploading so that I don't have extra images in my folders.  Some slip by, but I try to be careful.

One other option would be to delete both the folder holding the images and the story itself if you feel strongly about deleting those 400 pictures.  Carl hasn't said anything about the Gallery getting too full and we're still free to use it as much as we like.  I suspect if the day comes, he'll just lock it for future uploads.  He won't take the Gallery down because that would be detrimental to the Forum.

Oh oh, I never actually knew there was a picture limit with the gallery! I do only upload the pictures that get featured in my story - I name them in order as well, I'm that much of a control freak , but on good days and especially with the Dreamers where every hour I play seems to produce thirty screenshots, I tend to trot out chapters that are about 15-25 screenshots long? These include collages with multiple screenshots in, though I prefer not to do that with the dynasty. Will the gallery get full depending on the size of the files? I know the collage pictures tend to turn out bigger than the normal pictures, I guess just because it's a busy picture. Should we be particularly careful with these sorts of things? I also feel really bad about my two legacies in the graveyard now, there were so many screenshots in that first attempt!

I think Pam said that Carl set it up to hold around a million pictures. I think you're good.

Don't worry about overloading the Gallery.  Carl set it up to hold close to a million images.  We haven't even hit 7,000 yet.
