I need to look into notifying people that it's activation only somehow :)

Carl, I try to check the gallery daily and activate whomever I see that needs activation.  I then send out an email to that person.  I was on this morning at 07:36:02 AM (Arizona Time).  Sometimes I check again in the evening.

Is there supposed to be an automatic response that says one is activated?

I think that some people come here expecting to have received an email where they click an activation link and aren't aware that we'll get around to activating them soon.

An email is supposed to go out I think. I'll double check right now.

edit: I don't even see the setting. My email address is not working right now and that could have a lot to do with it. I haven't received an email since 7am. If I'm not receiving, they're not going out because it uses my personal address.

Oh, OK - thanks for clearing that up for me.  I sometimes get confused and forgetful in my old age - lol!  Maybe I will also try to check the gallery several times a day to help eliminate the problem.

Enjoy your day!

I would tell it to send out emails to us when someone registers but that would go to all admins and we'd have a lot of wasted effort trying to activate the same person. I guess it's just stuck the way it is.

@MoonsAreBlue:

I split your problem into a topic of its own on the Technical Help thread.  I think you'll get better help that way.  Here's the link to it:  Problem Using Gallery

Hi, I wanted to ask, is it okey to use my own Image hosting services? I like using postimage.org or directupload.net, I always use Photoshop on my Images to re-size them to 800 pixels, but sometimes I keep Images 1000 pixels when I'm making many thumbnails into one Image, I already have accounts and organized into those two sites, The gallery and Photobucket take too much time to upload and load to me since my max up speed is *5 kb/s*

...I like using postimage.org...

Wasn't that removed because of a glitch (or serious issue, take your pick) in the system?

Yes, postimage.org was removed from the Forum as a viable image hosting service because it became seriously bugged.

We don't really mind if you use the Gallery or Photobucket or whatever, as long as you post an image link that will show the image without the reader having to download the image to view it.  The preferred size for the Forum is 640 x 480, I believe.  We also prefer the full size image be used as opposed to thumbnails that have to be clicked to view.

I read earlier that Carl said the gallery automatically re-sizes images to 800 px width, and by thumbnails I mean joining multiple Images into one (like I do in my legacy) not the ones that you have to click on them
@ Seabody : postimage works perfectly for me, I always take the direct link my self, I don't use  the copy to clipboard function,

What is the maximum number of uploaded images per time? Like on PB, you can't upload, say, 150 images at once...

Actually, I don't know.  I've uploaded at least as many as 25 at one time.  I would be surprised if anyone would need to do 150 at once.
