Oh man, so it's just story progression gone wonky! I'm going to have to make more Simbots and send them out, hope they marry and have a kid! Ok, off too the workbench!  ;D

Hear, hear. I'm getting Ambitions for Christmas and that's exactly what I'm going to do with it.
Gee, I wonder if it would work for mummies too... I better go test that at once!

But, mummies can't be released into the wild right? Because I have zero experience with this it could be that it comes with releasing a simbot into the wild instead of setting him out yourself. But if you are going to test this I would absolutely be one of the readers that will read the outcome.

If the way the bug works differs from if you release the mummy or drop him in a house yourself it could make a difference. But that is all testing of course.

Because Pam's Simbot was a Story Progression glitch, I thought it might work on any Sim outside the active family. Right now I'm just creating mummies to populate the town with because I want to see if the glitch is exclusive to Simbots or not. Meanwhile, I'm running through my fifty million save files trying to find my original mummy-walking Sims.

EDIT: I found my two Sims and turns out there's a third one too. They have all the characteristics of normal mummies: shambling walk, no energy or bladder decay, can't breed etc, but they look like normal Sims. I have to do more experiments, this is bizarre.

Actually, even though this is cool, through my testing it seems that you can't have a hybrid due to the fact that he is a simbot. You see, what makes a simbot is hidden clothes and a trait, so if you take off the robot clothes and put on normal ones, even if he had looked like a normal sim, the game still thinks he's a simbot thus making it impossible for him to turn into anything else. Because through my testing, I've found out that he looks normal but is actually a simbot.

First of all, don't get a mod and don't talk about mods here on this Forum.

Secondly, how did you test it when you don't have my SimBot hybrid Sim?  What exactly did you test?  In my opinion, even if the game thinks he's a SimBot, he's still a hybrid because he doesn't look like a SimBot.  He got his looks from his biological mother.  Just the fact that he has a biological mother makes him a hybrid.

I've done more testing on my mummy hybrids. They pretty much fit into what IloveLlamas said about Simbot hybrids; although they look like normal Sims, they're mummies through and through. They can even be cured and turned back into normal Sims. However, I noticed one of them had a baby that was also obviously a mummy (his bladder and energy bars were blocked out). I was curious, so I decided to age him up into an adorable toddl- AAARGH!!

Dear God! Kill it! Kill it! It's a toddler with not only mummy characteristics, but also the adult mummy skin. I've got videos of it crawling, and it looks like one of those awful geists from World of Warcraft: Rise of the Lich King.

...I think I'm having nightmares tonight. I hope my computer doesn't explode.

I have no idea; they just showed up in one of my Sunset Valley files and I'm trying to figure out what caused it. My current theory is that my game mistook the town mummy (a real one I'd added to the neighbourhood earlier) for a vampire and started to spread his characteristics around, resulting in these wacky hybrids. I'm probably completely wrong though.

That is a cool glitch! I have had no luck combining mummies or Simbots with anything! I was gonna experiment with ghosts and vampire, but would just end up with a vampire ghost so I haven't bothered yet!
