Snow in Copenhagen today! Oh joy!
I have to get through this to get to work, not so joy.
And we have COP 15 going on right now. That's the big global climate conference that's supposed to save the world or something, well they're blocking traffic, that's what I know. I really recommend watching these kinds of things on TV. From very, very far away. The place where I work is less than a mile from the conference center.
And I work in the same institution where the Centre for Biosecurity and Biopreparedness (read anti-bioterror) is located, they're totally on alert right now.
And now the state leaders have started to arrive it will be even worse. Robert Mugabe is in my city right now. I thought he wasn't even allowed to enter the EU!
So between the Christmas shoppers, fat cat politicians motorcades, tens of thousands of demonstrators, police randomly closing roads or stopping people, giant balloons designed to teach me the volume of 1 ton of CO
2 getting loose and rolling into the street
and now the snow... Traffic will be SO BAD!!!
And tomorrow Obama is coming,
again. Last time he was here they closed down the entire inner city every time he got in his car and they won't tell us when 'cause it's a secret. Well I have to get
through the inner city to get to work. And home again.
I should just bring my sleeping bag to work...
Oh well, the Governator is here too. He said he would be back, giggles.
And it kind of tickles me that all the suits will be sitting there discussing global warming and then they can't get back to their hotels because there's a snow storm.
It's 6.30 in the morning and I can hear the snowplow outside. I'm leaving now and hopefully all the demonstrators and politicians will still be in bed and the snow will still be all nice and white instead of nasty and black from the cars.
