Having issue with my crazy Sims
« on: June 23, 2017, 01:25:31 PM »
Hello, I hope someone can help me with this problem. Sooo I have been having this problem with getting my sims to leave and go to work. They will walk out to the front of the house disappear and then reappear but they face is grayed out like they are at work but not. I can tell them to do stuff but the thumbnail is gray. and when the work day is over they are still grayed out.

This is why I call them crazy. I have city living now the three new jobs they will go to work at those. but not the old jobs. The get to work ones I have to go with them, I can't just send them cause they won't go.

and with parenthood one once and a question pops up on the screen I can't get it to remove off.

What I have done that hasn't fixed it, I have wiped sims off my computer and have done and clean install, and played it without any mods and they still didn't go to work.  I just don't know what to do. Can please someone help me I did put a ticket in with EA all they did was closed the ticket and didn't help me at all.. very sad about that.
Thank you for taken the time to read and help if you do..

The Sims stuck at work or Icon stays grey after coming home from work is a known bug.

There are some troubleshooting tips in the first post linked above.

I've tried to search about the popup message that can't be removed, but am not finding anything for that issue.

Have you tried clearing the game cache and localthumbcache.package file?

Delete Cache Files and localthumbcache.package

The localthumbcache.package can be found in the main Sims 4 folder

The Sim is going to their old job instead of their new job?

If this is the case, have you tried resetting them?

Reset Sim; Reset a Household and/or Evict Household

no ma'am it is the other way around. The new jobs that are in City Living the Sims are able to go to. it the old jobs they are unable to go to. so in order for my sims to have a career, I have to select the newer jobs from City Living so they can work. If I don't do that they will not go to work at all

Are you trying to solve this with your mods and cc out? If the problem still remains in a brand new cc-less and mod-less game then you know it is The Game causing the issue. You also have to delete the localthumbcache.package file after removing the mods and cc but before you start a brand new game to test.

Let us know how that works for you.  :)

Awesome. Now you are faced with the task of figuring out which mod is causing you the issue! This thread might help (click)
