Previously on Mostly Martha: Martha cooked for the whole town until she met Lincoln. They built a reasonably livable house and baby Lina was born. Martha is now the cook and cleaner of the family.
Chapter 2: LinaFirst we have to laugh at Lincoln for freaking out when the doorbell rings. Yes, the house is THAT new!
Lina comes home from school with a mysterious smile and then bursts out laughing. I think she's on to me.
Today Martha is cooking bouillabaisse. The secret ingredient is deathfish! Ack! Put that back!
"Mom, can you teach me how to make this?," asks Lina. "No, dear," replies Martha, "Mommy will be doing all the cooking. Always. Forever and ever."
A tender moment between Lincoln and Martha in the kitchen. Lincoln had a midlife crisis (ahem) which made him realize that he is not such a wanderer after all.
Barely 90 and it is time for Lincoln to go. He caught many deathfish and grew lots of life plants. He looks very happy and left a big lifetime-wish-achieved gravestone.
Meanwhile Lina is shopping for potential husbands. She wants to kiss Thrasher but he is checking the stove.
Conner is spacing out while Lina is talking about art.
Lina found Donnell in the backyard. "I was just checking out your sprinkler," he explains.
Uh, I think Stevie just disqualified himself!
Martha calls for maintenance. She is tired of the dishwasher breaking and the garden being a mess.
The rep on the line suggested that Martha at least harvests the fruit herself so they do not rot and cause a health hazard. Martha is trying to remember how Lincoln told her to do it.
The 2-door garage is actually a secret bunker for all the immortals. Would not want the neighbors to talk.
Martha has been trying out new activities. "I ran around all day catching bugs!" she says.
She still goes to parties and cooks for everyone. This recipe is called Grilled Ceiling Salmon.
A second attempt to be romantic with Thrasher. As soon as she leaned in for a kiss, he remembered that he had to go home.
Donnell is prepared. "Don't worry Lina," he says. "I have been hypnotized not to play with your sprinkler any more."
Armandso has beautiful violet eyes, but he admits that he never really shows up on paintings.
So who is the lucky man??
It is Donnell! Lina found him fishing and fell in love. "Congratulations Mr. Mostly Martha," she says sweetly, "would you be a dear and clean up the garden please?"
