My Sim is Locked in a Loop

Hi, one of my sims owns a resort which is for a challenge. Part of the challenge is that my sims have to do the maintenance themselves. One of the family members finally got his handiness up to 7 and can now upgrade things to be not breakable. I had him go to the bathroom and try to upgrade the toilets, but he quits about 1/4 of the way through it and then I have to unclog it. When I have him resume, he has to start all over from the beginning. This seems to be happening in an endless loop. What can I do? I might try resetting the lot and see if that works.

Depending on if it's the sim that is glitched or if it's something in the world that has glitched, you can try

For individual Sims - resetsim FirstName LastName

For the whole town - resetsim *

If that doesn't work evict household and move them back in.

Thanks Mrs Flynn! I think it was b/c his motives were a little down. I made sure his motives were completely green (except for hygiene) and he was able to upgrade them.
