Your most expensive house
« on: December 11, 2010, 06:53:17 PM »
Tell me people, which is the most expensive house in your game you've ever build in your life? I like to talk exclusive now so give me details, and if you want: pictures.
For me, mine will be the Multi-Millionairs Mansion (search Youtube) and it still isn't finished yet: every expansion means expanding my sims living.

Mine has to be my Dreamweaver Immortal Dynasty house, of course.  I'm on the 7th generation and it's valued at $4,250,709.  It started as a small, one room house for my founder, Carina.  I've added to it a little at a time as the family grew.  Now it has a total of 6 levels (including 2 basement levels for the nectar/collection cellar and museum), large garden, pool area, musical stage, Zen Garden, koi pond and rose fountain.

Wow, Pam!  And your wonderful house shows it's worth too.  It's absolutely gorgeous.  For someone who claims to be uncreative you have made a masterpiece.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Thank you.  Thankfully, it won't have to get any bigger as Generation 8 was just born!  :D

Currently, the Larson's legacy mansion is worth 550,000. The Larson's don't even own cars :D. I think it gains about 10,000 a day. The legacy is only on it's 2nd generation, and the basement isn't even complete yet. I plan on adding a guest house, gym, movie theater, spa, library, party room, and what ever else comes to mind.

@ Pam: Now I am really curious to see any pictures of it. The details you've descriped sounds very promising.

@ Malteser60: Thank you very much. And welcome to the forum, cause I haven't see you before I thought. I did a long time building it actually. And in the meantime a lot has changed to now, with more expansions that have come. And especially the LTW's of the sims forced me sometimes to change the interieur.

@ IloveLlamas: How did you succeeded in bringing more than $10.000,- a day with just the first generation?

@ Any interested person: I thought out the many bedrooms your sim should have maximum in a big mansion; 17. Exclusive the babyroom. Eight guestrooms for all the foreign visitors you can invite in at once, asuming they all are single, 1 for your butler and the other eight for the maximum sims you can have in your home, asuming they are all single.

I assume you mean Andrew not IloveLlamas. The house contains many sculptures, and they have about 500 bottle of nector aging in their basement (I added a nector rack to a club the family owns.) Some statues that were originally worth $200 are now +$5000. I believe their most expensive sculpture is worth $10,000.

My most expensive house is the Characters at $600,000. I know that isn't much for a Legacy at Generation 6 but I keep bulldozing and rebuilding. I also prefer smaller houses which also helps my game run better. I also lost all of the paintings from the first generation and second when I moved towns. The paintings disappeared off the walls. There was a portrait of Mikey that would be worth a lot now if it still existed. To date I think there have been about 4 different houses for the Legacy. I also never really got into the whole 'Self Employed' ways so there are not many paintings or sculptures around. I think there is a lot of stuff in the Family Inventory but I am not sure if that is counted or not.

I read this thread, got all inspired by these visions of great Sim houses, and went back to my Legacy and redid the house from top to bottom. I thought I decked it out to the max - and it's only value at $230,000. The moral of the story is, I'm even more impressed by this thread than I was originally, haha.

Are you saying that you don't follow my Dynasty thread?  Shame on you!  ;D

If you don't want to read through the 97 pages of my story, you can see the tour here, here, and here.  I've added the 4th above ground level since then and the living/kitchen area has been changed 3 times (I change it for each new generation according to the current generation Sim's name).  I'll try to get the links directly to those posts later.  Right now it's late and I'm tired.  :)

I would definitely like to have the smoother running of the game from a smaller house.  But I'm not really a good enough builder to bulldoze and build from scratch like that.  Mine is put together in bits, adding sections a little at a time.  Each generation has her own bedroom and skill area.  Generation 8 is still in the nursery, but he'll have a bedroom and office on the 4th level when he grows up.

I've tried that to once, but I believe the whole building won't fit on even the largest lot. You have to choose a wing actually. Building the headbuilding (if I call that correctly) will make you to avoid the eastwing.

If you like, I can sent you some photo material I have found on the internet which are sort of blueprints of the building so you can even build the inside.
I was trying to get an appointment with president Obama for photographing the rooms I can not find on the internet, but I keep getting the same answer.
Pretty weird, don't you think? And I thought America was so hospitable... :(
