Just language confusion, Leto. "IT" wouldn't be wrong, but I personally might be mistaken in this being the only way to upload to the Swap Shop.
Yes, we all use the exchange, but the exchange has it's problems with recurring pornographic pictures being uploaded by scumbags. (None of us here, of course). So the intention was to have our own Swap Shop where we could safely allow ourselves, and our children, to go to get wonderful items without the danger of running into bad stuff. We know in our shop there will be no mods and no 3rd party CC and no pornography, because each item is checked out by Carl before it gets in. Most of our teens here aren't dumb or blind to what goes on in the world or real life, but do we really want to have them have sexually explicit stuff shoved in their faces? Of course not. There is also the matter that some members aren't even teens yet. I look longingly at some of the pictures that come up on the main "Welcome" screen when I sign in to the game, but would I take the chance of downloading some of the beautiful houses and such? Anyone remember the doll that corrupted tons of games? If I get an item from our members I know it's safe, but I don't always know the EA site is safe stuff. So while our Swap Shop may be redundant in some ways, it definitely has a valid purpose.
I upload my items to the exchange, and as soon as Carl posts them in our Swap, I remove them from the Exchange. It keeps my EA area neat and stuff exclusive to our members. I just wish there was a way of tracking how many of our things are downloaded from our Swap Shop so we could know what folks like here so Carl could remove the dead wood as they do on the Exchange. Having said all that, I can hardly wait till I see that Arcade up because I WANT it for my SV remodel. I have just the spot for such a thing!
