@oshizu - Dina does have a lighthearted side! It's a shame it isn't let out enough.. bad watcher! LOL I think getting rid of Dina's yellow hair makes such a difference to her, she has such lovely features.

So here I am, trying to decide if I should go in or not. Perhaps I am actually trying to get some courage.. I guess that would be more accurate

The dreaded confrontation…

Oh Gosh.. I actually feel sick. I don’t know if I can go in there

I finally get the backbone to knock on the door.. I guess she is surprised to see me

I try some small talk at first, and the silence is crushing.

“What do you want Dina?” Katrina asks with a piercing stare

I try to explain that I am only here to talk. To try and work out this rift between us. I tell her that I miss her and that I need her in my life

“You need me?” Katrina guffaws “Dina, you used to need me. You used to come to me with all your decisions and all your thoughts. Then one day.. BAM.. you decide to change your name, move out of home without a second glance.. meet some.. some… what the heck do you call that thing you married?”

I am not socked at her venom, or at her questions.. but I am shocked by my angry response. I begin to yell at her, to bring up all the times I went to her when I was younger and she was too busy with Don.. or Nina

Then she stops me with 3 quiet words

“Nina is missing”

She then just turns to the wall and stares

Missing? What is she talking about? Missing? For how long?

“She told me she ran into you at the club.. that you were.. expecting” Katrina spat “then 2 days later she was gone..GONE” Katrina’s voice began to rise

How did I not know? Was I so involved with my own life that I missed the life of my sister?

Then my voice began to rise, louder and louder. I demand answers from my Mother, demand to know what she has done to look for her

“I have done everything I can do, other than get your… your… companion.. to sniff her out” She answered “And before you get all uppity about it, I’m not trying to be rude”

My mother then promptly burst into tears.. I had never seen her cry before

“But now I need you to leave. Unless you are going to sick those ‘things’ you live with onto the search.. I don’t need you here anymore”

I close my eyes and try to remember that she is scared, that she is looking for blame

I turn to her to try and give some comfort

“Get out!” She yelled

I refuse to leave, I just kept staring at her. Wanting her to know that I wasn’t going to abandon her.. not now

“Fine” She reaches for the TV remote

“What’s she staring at?” Don says as he walks into the room

“Who?” Katrina responded “I don’t see anyone else here except you and me Don”

Although I was hurt I still stayed. I stayed as they watched TV together, I stayed when they ate their lunch, I stayed when they clearly didn’t want me to be anywhere near them.. I stayed until I couldn’t bare it a moment longer

“I thought she’d never leave” Don said with a smile

“Who?” Katrina responded “I have no idea who you are talking about”

Poor Dina! You'd think Katrina would be overjoyed at the thought of holding her first grandchild!
It's so brave of Dina to visit her mother and try to make amends, when she's the one who's pregnant and deserves to be pampered!

And now we face the mystery of missing Nina! I immediately suspect Lilith of trying to get back at Dina for stealing her brother Caleb's affections.
Or could it be Vlad?

I hope you don't keep us waiting too long for more answers!

Hi all! I was hoping to get another post up this week, but have been so busy with School holidays.. Am off to Spain for 3 weeks tomorrow, so will not be able to update until we return. Happy Holidays to those doing Summer Vacation and will see you all soon!

Dina is gorgeous with the new looks. I never actually realised just how pretty she could be with a makeover. I can't help it, I like Lilith. I'm choosing to believe that she really does think that the marriage between Caleb and Dina will doom them all (not sure why it would, but, the story is still young).

Sorry for the delay in updating.. it took a little while after getting back from vacation to get my brain back into writing mode!

“Where is Dina” Lilith approached Caleb with a smile “I thought that you requested us to dress well for an outing?”

“It will just be you and I today” Caleb returned the smile “You look lovely Lilith, I like what you have done with your hair, 20’s era if I am correct?”

“Yes you are!” Lilith was genuinely pleased “So you are leaving Dina here for the day?”

“Dina left earlier this morning, she said she had an errand to run” Caleb said thoughtfully

“So... shall we go?”

“You look nervous Caleb, why are we here?” Lilith stared at her brother

“Just come inside with me Lilith” Caleb was smiling happily

“I thought that you would like it here” Caleb turned to Lilith

“Oh I think I do!.. Are we here for some..um.. lunch?” Lilith glanced at the other patrons

“Not today dear. We are meeting someone here. I thought it would be best to do this while Dina was busy”

“Meet who?” Lilith asked

“Sister, may I formally introduce you to Vladislaus Straud; Our Ancient”

“Ancient? I am technically your age.. boy” Vladislaus joked

“I understand that you are not in unison with Caleb in regards to Dina White. Am I correct Lilith?” Vladislaus sat down slowly

“You brought me here to chastise me Caleb?” Lilith turns to him “You brought an ANCIENT here to put me in my place?”

“You misunderstand his intentions dear. But perhaps I should ask you what you mean? Are you not obeying Caleb as he requested? Shall I touch you and see for myself?” Vladislaus stared at Lilith

“It is fine Vladislaus, Lilith is confused, that is all. I have come to tell you I found it. I found the treasure you were looking for” Caleb looked hopefully at him

“You avoided the Hermit?”

“I was not able to completely avoid him, as my wife was drawn to his garden, but we were there briefly and somewhat successfully” Caleb said with pride

“Then I am pleased. Meet me at my house with the girl” Vladislaus then turned and headed towards the microphone “I believe entertainment is in order”

“I have to go Lilith, I need to get Dina. Will you meet me at his house?” With a wave towards Vladislaus and his terrible singing Caleb went home to find Dina

I tried to sleep, to do something to distract me from the awful day I had.. I was even more depressed because I am alone here too

Where is my husband?? And then he just appeared.. it’s like thinking of him almost summons him

“I am here my love, you seem somber” Caleb runs his fingers down my face

I proceed to tell him about my awful encounter with my Mother.. Then accustations..

The ignoring.. and then the heartbreaking news of Nina’s disappearance.. I couldn’t help it, I broke down

“Listen to me Dina Vatore. We will find your sister, after our child is born we will search relentlessly for her until she is found” Caleb stares at me with such conviction “as for your Mother? She will thaw, eventually she will be kinder to you. For that I will promise”

I looked at him with some budding hope. Could things truly not be as bad as I thought?

“I swear to you that you will not be alone Dina” We stare at each other for a moment and so much was said just with that one stare

“I love you” He whispers

“And I love you too” he bends down towards my stomach

“I know that this is horrid timing.. but I have a favour to ask you” And Caleb grimaced

Aww.. shucks on saying nice things about my screenshots.. I'm really lucky to have Sims that have such expressive faces!! haha Caleb did leave Vlad in the nick of time.. I heard that it was an excruciating rendition of "Dream On" by Aerosmith

OK.. now this is scary.  Oh!  Why is Lilith here?

“Thank you for coming Dina, I understand that we were not formally introduced. I am Vladislaus and I am an Ancient Vampire. I have been on this earth for a very long time and if I am honest, I simply can no longer remember how old I am.” He paused “ I would like to talk to you if you are accomodating?” Vladislaus bowed his head in greeting

I’m still a little shocked

I tell the old man that it’s ok, I’m happy to chat with him.. but then he sends Caleb away and suddenly I feel a bit vulnerable

“You can rest assured Dina, I have no intentions of harming you in any way” He said kindly

“I used to live in another dimension.. in fact there was a version of YOU in that other world too. That Dina lived in a world called Barnacle Bay”

“But I digress.. In this other dimension, we co-existed with many other Supernatural beings and we spent most of our time hidden. For hundreds of years we tried to blend in, or hide in cloaked areas which somehow discouraged humans to come near.. but, of course, some of us need to feed..”

“Whilst hidden, I believed my gift of foresight worked on everyone.. but when I ventured out, I realised that I could only read the future of supernatural beings, not humans” Vladislaus looks at me to see if I understand

I do understand, I’m just confused why he feels like he has to tell me all this

“I need to see if your child is supernatural Dina” He just stares

Meanwhile..

“I think it’s going well… do you think it’s going well?” Caleb asks Lilith nervously

“Um…”

I look at the wrinkled man and ask quite sternly how he intends on doing that.. seeing as I am human and he can’t read me

Back at the couch

“Yep.. definitely going well” Caleb insists

“Oh dear, the things we tell ourselves” Lilith thinks and then turns to Caleb with an encouraging grin

I tell the pale frail guy that I want to talk to my husband

“Yes, absolutely going well..” Caleb continues

I approach him and tell him firmly I would like to talk to him.. NOW

As always, I can't get over how lovely Dina looks! I can't wait to learn what's going on!

“What is it my love? You sound distressed”

I explain what the see through one said and asked him to explain more

“He will not harm our child, I swear to you he will only touch your stomach. That is all” Caleb reassures me

I am still undecided when he looks at me smiling

“This isn’t some Vampire rite.. this is only a father asking a favour of an old friend if he could see if our child is human or vampire” He grinned sheepishly

I smile to myself and feel immediately relaxed. Why would I think he’d put our lives in danger? I head off to where the grey skinned one said to meet, leaving Caleb and Lilith to argue about the latest toys for sale.. which made me smirk

“Are you sure you found that particular toy? Are you positive?” Lilith continues

“I am positive, the man greeted me by name, so I knew I was in the right.. ahem.. shop” Caleb confirms

And then the creepy one appeared before me

“Are you now willing to go ahead?” Vladislaus said behind a curtain of smoke

With one last look at Caleb, I nod my head in agreement

Vladislaus took a deep breath, as if meditating

Then I felt his hands on me

“I can feel him. I can read him.. he is Supernatural”

He looks up at me, and I can see so much knowledge and wisdom and … satisfaction in that one gaze

And then it hits me.. I’m having a BOY?

“Indeed you are. A healthy and beautiful Vampire Boy” He confirms

From across the room I hear an intake of breath, I turn to look at Caleb

“A son? I am having a son?” I think the weight of Fatherhood fell upon him in just that second

Before I could respond he was standing beside me asking the .. well .. Vladislaus if he could check again.  With a chuckle he complied

I only had one question.. Is he healthy? I was so happy to hear that not only was he healthy, but he was happy too.

Vladislaus then disappeared in his usual smoky way which enabled Caleb and I to embrace. I think we were both caught up in such a beautiful moment of knowing our son was happy and healthy

I then lean towards Caleb, telling him I need to whisper something

“We must retire for the evening. Thank you for your hospitality Vladislaus. I believe you and Lilith have more to discuss, but for now I will take my beautiful wife home.  She is quite desperate to use the lavatory” He said with amusement

I, of course, am mortified

“Good Evening Ancient One” Lilith turns to Vladislaus

“Do you have my payment Lilith?” A cold stare returned Lilith’s warm wave

“I do, but it is hidden. I am keeping it as insurance, until the baby is born”  Lilith’s voice turned cold and calculating

“I see that you have learnt quite a bit since the last time we met young one” He responded

“I only make a mistake once Ancient One”

“I wouldn’t be so sure Lilith Vatore”

“You can’t rattle me Sir” Lilith said with a smile

“Ahh, it was, however, worth a try”

“Can you show me what you saw?” Lilith looked at Vladislaus in reverence “In return, I will tell you which world your payment is in”

Vladislaus sat quietly for a moment, and then nodded his head. Lilith felt a rush of images suddenly being jammed into her mind

“It will take you a while to sort through everything” Vladislaus said in response to my puzzled expression

“Is there only one?” Lilith asked

“I want my payment girl”

“Good night my love. Thank you for doing this for me” Caleb kissed his wife

“So she is in bed? Is she comfortable?” Lilith inquired

“Yes, she has understood the ritual. I feel.. shall I say?.. content?” Caleb smiles widely

“Please do not get complacent my brother.. he demanded his payment” The warning was clear

“Do not concern yourself. It is concluded. My legend is unfolding” Caleb says smugly

“Caleb!! He showed me his vision.. He insists retribution, you can not ignore this” Lilith pleads with him

“I have all intentions of passing on his payment Lilith. Perhaps I should have been more clear.” Caleb turns his head towards Lilith “I have no intention of paying late, however, I am hoping you will collect the artefact for me?”

“I am at your service” Lilith responds with a smile

“Now.. may I see the vision?” Caleb stands and looks at Lilith expectantly

“Of course” Lilith rises from her chair and she begins to meditate

Finally the vision returns

“Is that all” Caleb intruded her thoughts

“No……”

“What are you doing? That is enough!” Caleb shouted to Lilith

“I can’t stop!!! You need to repel… push it back Caleb!!” Lilith was out of breath

“I’m trying! What type of magic is this??” The buzz was so loud Caleb had to keep shouting to be heard

“Oh …wow…. I am getting it now.. I am getting the visions..” He continued to compel the thoughts to his mind

“Is it true?” He was breathless

“Yes.  It is true.” Lilith was despondent

“Oh Lilith, why so glum”

“….so many reasons…”

“We are going to have such a beautiful child living with us Lilith” Caleb’s excitement was infectious

“A boy…himp!....” Lilith couldn’t help but grin

“That’s right!! How could we not celebrate!!” Caleb had never felt so happy

“May I teach him the Pipe Organ?” Was Lilith’s first request

You've got me in total suspense now. What is going to happen? What is Caleb's legend? Is his love for Dina real?

Dina continues to look gorgeous. I love her silky-looking, straight hair in the last two shots.
And I also love how you've managed to convince us that Dina's pregnancy is lasting for several sim-months.
A son! I can't wait to meet him!
