audioses.dll problem
« on: May 25, 2017, 01:06:37 PM »
Hi everyone,
I've got a problem with an error message that keeps coming in. It states that C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/AUDIOSES.DLL isn't designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Because of this problem, my sims game has no sound and I can't play it because the message keeps sending me back to the desktop every two seconds.
I've tried several things like resetting my pc, downloading a new copy of the audioses.dll file, getting my computer checked on virusses and let Windows check for broken files. This all didn't work.
Is there anything else I can do or is this a problem that can't be solved?
(English isn't my first language so I apologize in advance)

I did a quick search on this issue, and it's been suggested to uninstall your existing sound drivers completely and then install the latest drivers for your sound card by downloading it from the manufacturer (computer maker's) website.

1. Go to your computer maker's website, search for your computer's model number to find the drivers - this is where you should be able to find video and sound drivers. Download them to your hard drive or back up media of choice.

2. Do a search on How to uninstall/install a sound card driver. Find your operating system and follow the steps from there.
