Dying of Old Age On Your Birthday (Really?)

Iqbal Alvi has just died of old age on his birthday leaving his two teenage boys behind. I had plans for him and he didn't even get to complete his lifetime wish. I'm dumbfounded to say the least. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Perhaps Egypt was a little too exciting for a neurotic fellow such as he. Especially after one son becoming inflicted with the Mummy's Curse and not being cured yet? Ageing is on and set to normal with SP on as well.

The Alvis always has weird things happening to them whenever I play them

I'm officially done using a SP mod. Apparently, teen VJ has a daughter (child stage) in Egypt with a random elderly woman (who can't get pregnant). This is wrong in so many ways

That's weird b/c I've played the Alvi's w/nraas sp mod and nothing weird ever happened to them. Unfortunately, I lost that family (my played version of them). They were VERY wealthy b/c the younger son grew up and studied martial arts and broke space rocks for gems. He was also a wine connoisseur as well as a gardener, growing his own grapes and fruit for wine.

Both those things/bugs happen enough without mods (wasn't with the Alvis but my immortal dynasty got both at different points).

Unfortunately, I lost that family (my played version of them).

I'm so sorry to hear. I love playing the Alvi family. Miraj is also a martial artist in my game. I feel sorry for Iqbal, though. He doesn't have it easy and I like to fulfill his LTW, so that he dies with some bragging rights. VJ is my brute/explorer of tombs. Miraj is too neat for all that dirty old stuff while daddy Iqbal gets really nervous around traps and mummies. They are three all good fun, I think.

@Trip Okay, thanks for letting me know. I've ditched the SP mod, but kept the MasterController (mainly to conveniently edit NPSs after they age up). Sudden death and unwanted children should only be for real life - well, not at all in fact. But you probably take my meaning. I have restarted the family after this.
