Since I've got a PlantSim toddler in my Farmacy game, I started thinking about PlantSim reproduction and genetics, and I couldn’t resist checking it out.

From what I've read, ‘try for baby’ with a human male and PlantSim female, has the female generating a Forbidden Fruit each time there are chimes, and my test game proved that.

But there are other methods of reproduction for PlantSims using NRaas mods, specifically, Master Controller.

I did it backwards though and pollinated her first, so had to wait as even though it allows you to try for baby once the female is pollinated, no chimes and no Forbidden Fruit seeds.

But…who was my lucky PlantSim test female….Thistle Riverhawk!

And the lucky male was Jake Frio, her boyfriend!

They were teens when I started, so I aged both of them up with cake.

And pollinated Thistle right away via Nraas MC.
Normal pregnancy and she listened to kid’s music and watched kid’s tv, so they had twins, a boy, Tad, and a girl, Petal.

Both of them ended up with peachy human skin tones and are the children of both Jake and Thistle.

Then I Instant Babied Thistle with Jake as the donor and was totally shocked to end up with a light green skinned baby girl, Ivy, though she’s human!!!

No photo as I forgot to take one of her right after she was born, but there's one of her with her siblings further in this post.

Ivy, too, has both Jake and Thistle as her parents.

I also had Jake and Thistle try for baby several times, which had Thistle producing 3 Forbidden Fruit seeds.

She wasn’t at level 7 to plant them yet, but using the multi-tab while she tended her garden got her to that level quickly.

So she planted all three Forbidden Fruit seeds under the grow station, and I placed 3 sunflower plants for blossoms.

Before Ivy aged a day, she had 3 half-siblings, and so did the twins, though they are a day older!

Because whoever picks the Forbidden Fruit is considered the only parent and they ‘adopt’ the plantbaby.

But they’re still adorable and, of course, Jake picked 2, so 2 more boys.
Blade

And Reed, with Reed being a bit darker green.

Thistle's Plantbaby was Heather, and she’s the darkest green of them all.

Here's Ivy, Tad, and Petal.

And Blade, Heather, being tucked in by Thistle, and Reed.

But then I remembered who Thistle’s mother is, my Dulcinea Riverhawk from my being green game, and she’s on the green skin tone slider!

So that’s why Ivy’s green, even though she’s human, and why Reed and Heather are dark green.

Of course, using sims with regular skin tones might not give you greenies like that, but I’m actually glad I chose Thistle for the test and got Dulcinea’s greenie genetics as well! 😊

So 6 nooboos in the house within the space of 2 days and right after that, both Jake and Thistle popped wishes for another baby!

Crazy sims!!!!

another bbcode test post

The above posts are now showing images for me, so I'm not sure what the issue was, but hopefully it is resolved now. :)

I never shared any of my TS3 screenshots on this post before so it's my first time. Here's the random picture of Bridgeport during the night.

@TaurusC --What a beautiful photo!

I love how you managed to capture all of the different elements that make up the city.

The span of the bridge over the water, it's skyscrapers all lit up and the night sky overhead just bursting with stars!

I recently got a massive upgrade to my computer (the last time I got a new laptop was 2013), and I've been able to play the Sims 3 on high settings for the first time in my life. It's absolutely stunning! I didn't even know the game could look like this. I just wanted to share some screenshots of a farm I've been working on, because I'm blown away by the graphics.

The chicken coop at dawn:

Playing with chicks:

Tending the huge corn field in the evening (I can hardly believe it loads!):

Finally, another view of the farm:

It's such a beautiful game. I'm so happy I get to finally experience it like this. :)

Ivy Frio is all grown up now and though she isn't a Plantsim she does have Plantsim skin!

I loved her so much that I switched to her household after she had a child with Darrio Monty.
Here's Darrio, Ivy's boyfriend, after I gave him hair, so he didn't look like an old man!

Here's Jacob, their toddler son.

But as much as I loved Ivy her lifetime wish was Gold Digger!
One I'd never managed to complete before, due to some glitch apparently.
But since that was before I was using NRaas mods, I decided to give it another try!

I tried just having Darrio use a ghost potion but that didn't trigger Ivy's Gold Digger LTW.

So, plan B was to get rid of Darrio as gently as possible using NRaas and resurrect his ghost.
When the list came up, I was a bit surprised at just how many ways there were to do away with a sim!
My greatest fear was having to watch him suffer, but it actually was painless as after I chose 'fall from sky', he just disappeared with a notice saying his gravestone could be found at the mausoleum.

Ivy went and got his urn and brought it home.
I waited for a bit, but I'm not very patient and used NRaas to trigger the Oh My Ghost opportunity.
Ivy brought poor Darrio to the science center, and she came out with his ghost!
And a few minutes of watching him, her Gold Digger wish completed!

The bonus being that Darrio is the coolest ghost color I've ever seen!

I've got a plate of ambrosia waiting in the fridge for Darrio, but now I want a ghost baby that amazing color!

Happy simming everyone.

Ivy and Darrio added a daughter, Aria.
I was hoping she'd have inherited the ghostliness from his ghost potion time, but no such luck.

So, I tried again while Darrio was the cool ghostly colors and...

Triplets!!!
With the first born, Davian, looking just like ghostly dad!

The second one is his sister Juliette who's green like Mom.
And lastly, Romeo, of course, who's regular MV skin-toned like his older siblings, Jacob and Aria.

Now here's hoping one of them gets Ivy's unique hair color.

I'll make sure and get photos of all three when they become toddlers.

I know its been a while for this thread ... but ... why should I be the only one to suffer through the Sims 3 clothing choices for aged up sims?

Screenshot-907.jpg
The game aged up my 3rd generation heir into a teen and thought the above was a stylish option - its her athletics uniform ... I'd love to see someone try to do something athletic in that ... but I suppose if you were going something posh and it was raining or something and you didn't wan your shoes to get wet ... nah, doesn't work for me either!

Edited to add my 'improvement' below
