Is there a way to change the language?

Hello.

This is my first time posting in a forum so please excuse me for my confusion and etc.

As you can see, I need help. Recently, I bought the German DVD version of The Sims 4. As I looked at the back of the DVD, it only lists its language in only German. I'm not German and don't understand the language at all. Is there a way that I can play the game in English instead? I've searched high and low for a solution but nothing really helps. I haven't tried to install the game because I fear that I would do something wrong and ruin the whole game.

Also, I stupidly unsealed the game so returning and getting a refund for the game would be useless now.

It depends where you bought the game. Not all versions will include all languages.

You can check the Sims 4 entry on your local store page regarding which languages should be included.

If there are multiple languages listed, but you cannot find yours, exit and then uninstall the game in your Origin Client. Once uninstalled, change the Origin Client's language setting to your desired language, which will require an Origin Client restart. After the restart, install the game again and it should now be in your desired language (given that this language was available on the store page for the version you have purchased).
