Proposal Problems...
« on: February 04, 2017, 10:01:42 AM »

This problem has me perplexed.  ???

I have a couple that I would like to get married, but the propose interaction never appears. The couple has been dating since teens and now they're young adults and cannot further their relationship. Currently, they have full friendship and romance bars, best friend tag, soulmates tag, and promised tag. I've used the ResetSim cheat and even added the husband-to-be to the household and neither one has the propose option.

Any ideas?

Did they exchange promise rings as teens? If so, that's bugged right now, and you'll have to have them "ask to just be friends," and then build their relationship back up again. Then, the proposal option should appear. Good luck!

This is a common bug.

Sims cannot propose
http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4-Bug-Reports/OPEN-Sims-cannot-propose/td-p/5733980

I'm seeing a few suggestions:

1. End the other romantic relationships with other sims - if any.

2. Remove relationship then build their relationship back up to where it was.

3. Dismiss the employed Sim and try again.

This glitch or bug may be from trying to marry service Sims, or a Sim that had a previous relationship.

Thank you for the advice everyone!! :)

I had Matt ask Cora to "Just be friends" and luckily the friendship bar stayed almost full. So, I just had to get them flirting again and it went like clockwork afterwards. So, they were able to have a very nice backyard wedding service and move out of their parents home! LOL

I am happy to see all worked out for you :)
I had so much hoped they had fixed the problem at the latest patch -
but no unfortunately not.

I have same problem - and have waited to play the file where the problem is
for hopefully a fix for this annoying problem.

So it is nice for me to see how easely the work around worked for you -
now I might dare play that file again - even the problem still lies unsolved.
 ;D Thank you !
