I have a feeling I'm gonna be around here for some time, so I should introduce myself.
I'm Norma, but have been using Twinmum as a screen name since we first got the internet connected (back then, my twins were babies and being the mother of twins pretty much defined who I was. Now I'm the mother of 4, grandmother to one, a keen miniaturist, huge Stephen King fan (even helped write a book about his work) and of course a sim fan. I've always liked sim type games.. Sim City, Sim Tower, Sim Farm etc... I bought the original Sims just after it was released and collected all the EP's, then Sims 2 came out and I started over. I think there was only one stuff pack that I didn't get for the game (Sims 2 is still on this older computer and is still played on a regular basis by my daughters). When Sims 3 was advertised I blatently refused to be suckered into starting all over again. But of course I think that was only because my aging computer would have had a heart attack trying to run it. I think I bought TS3 2 days after we bought the new computer lol. Hubby bought WA for me a few weeks ago but wouldn't let me have it till Christmas and I'm loving it.
I love building houses in the game and I always play a few sims who don't work, but support themselves through gardening and self employment ( I loved Open for Business in TS2), so I'm really enjoying WA. My current family is a couple - She is a writer and photographer who travels. He stays at home and tends the garden and makes nectar. They have just had their first child, so he also is Mister Mum while she travels.
At the moment, I can't play Sims 3 too often.... school holidays have only just begun here in Australia and 2 of my daughters have just discovered Sims 3 (they have been playing Sims 2 for ages) So untill school goes back at the end of January, the 3 of us have to fight it out as to who gets the good computer! So I spend a lot of time at the moment reading forums on this computer lol
