Hi All! And greetings from snowy and sunny Finland!
I've been playing The Sims since it came out in 2001, and all of them. Had a few years break when the kids were small (they still are but are so much easier now, they're 11 and 9 atm
). I was missing playing, but I also knew myself and that if I'd start to play, I'd "waste" hours and hours into it. Finally I started playing again some years ago, but very rarely. Then I had burnout and while recovering (and started to feel better), I started to think about the things I enjoy in my life. And yes, playing Sims is one of them! So I made myself a favor, and got it on my computer. Got lost into it, bought most of the expansion packs, ran soon out of memory (playing on a laptop) and made hubby to get me MORE
And now I'm saving for a "real computer" so that playing would be more fun (and graphics better!), and I have been saying since 2004 that I don't need a PC, I can do everything with a laptop. But no, now I definitely need a PC, and yes, the main reason is for playing the Sims
I enjoy challenges, though I get bored really fast. For a few years I've been following some Youtubers for their Sims challenges and I love the storytelling aspect of it. But playing just for me is kind of stupid (well it's not but it is), and then I got inspired by this forum. I could update my story in here! Making up the story while playing is a great fun, and I believe it sparks some real creativity to fit in the stuff that happens in the game
I also dislocated my shoulder a week ago (teaching trampoline tricks I learned from the kids, to other adults... teaching was successful though!) so now I have some extra time on my hands, and I decided to start my story at the legacy thread (the Thomson Family).
Hope you are all well!
