Felicitations, simmers, modders, and cheaters, alike. I am D4rkN1X, founder and CEO of D4rkN1X Enterprises Ltd., a soon-to-be leading innovator of all things with the Sims 3. Ok, so I own no company of that sort. But, I am in fact interested in making a mod that not only makes inventors dependent on scrap, but also metal ingots to invent objects, including buy mode objects like stoves, fridges, TVs, computers etc. Heck, I can make a mod that will let you invent objects you can't get through buy mode. Consider that an incentive to buff up inventing!

If there is a mod like that, perhaps I can improve it.

Anyway, I hope you welcome me to the forums with open arms. With that said, LET'S INVENT THE PERFECT APPLIANCE!

I'm actually a console forum member..but(happy dance) I just installed Sims 3 on my laptop!  So I am officially a PC simmer, hooray! I haven't posted in awhile because I am spending twice as much on my computer than I did on the Xbox. When I first started playing I was like, wow I can add body hair?? I can buy my sim a deep fryer?? And there is no freaking fire meter? I am in sim heaven :)  And this is only with the base game.  I can't imagine what's going to happen if I get expansion/stuff packs.
