Hi everyone!

I recently rediscovered the hype of playing the Sims. I've played the sims 1 and 2 for many years; getting all expansion packs possible, but the complexity of the sims 3 when I first bought it gave me a bad first impression when I bought it so I stuck to the sims 2. However since I got my new laptop I decided to give it a second try and after playing than juste a few hours I realized how awesome it was. So in two weeks I bought ambitions and world adventures and right now I'm waiting for the downloads of Pets and Late Night to finish on Origin. I've  been reading this forum and using Carl's guide since the first day and decided it would pretty much be time I sign up :P So here I am, I'll probably be posting here a lot so expect to hear about me often :)

By the way, my name is Remi, I live in Quebec, Canada and am 18. My english ain't perfect because I'm a french canadian after all, so forgive me if sometimes I use terms that don't sound right :P

Hi guys!

Since I have been around here a little while now, it’s about time I introduce myself. I hadn’t seen this part of the forum yet ???

I absolutely love computer games. Ever since Giana Sisters on the Commodore 64 I am hooked. Anyone remember that? I played that so much, I could finish all 33 levels in a blink.

From the beginning I have been playing The Sims and I enjoy it very much. The humour and possibilities are fantastic. I always wish I have more time to play. Because of that many things stay undiscovered for me. That’s why it is so great to find a site like this!

On a little more personal note; my wonderful busy husband and I are from The Netherlands. He is a pilot and a SAP Consultant and we live in beautiful Norway with our two very cute small kids, who I simply adore, and our sweet old cat. Our lives are very busy, since we have moved 6 times from which we have emigrated twice and of course my hubby has two jobs. He works his but off (Can I say that here? Sorry if not! Don't know how else to put it) and I arrange everything else, from all financial stuff like paying the bills, getting new personal numbers, bank accounts etc till learning all about how systems in a different country work (medically and all other kinds) and of course making friends (again) and not to forget taking care of the house and our little ones! Of course we both try our best learning the languages too. I have learned a lot of Swedish before and now I am trying my hardest at Norwegian.
Quite challenging, but so far we still enjoy it very much. We sure do hope to be able to settle down soon.

It is really nice to read everybody’s intro. This may be somewhat of a long intro, but I thought it would be nice to tell a little bit more about myself then just “I love The Sims” ;)

Yes it is! I think in Afrikaans you have several words put together to discribe one word in Dutch, which makes it sound very funny to me. Translated something like long neck (langnek) is giraffe I believe? And a brommer (moped) is a trap-mij-something? I am not really sure about this though.
Renatie sounds very cute by the way!

Oh no, we say giraffe too. I thought it was langnek in Afrikaans hihi! And brommer is a moped. You don't have that word?
If you want to talk some more, that would be really nice but maybe we should move this to a babble box or PM each other, because I worry we are changing the subject a little too much here ;)
