Hi everyone! I've been utilizing the great resources here on the main site for some time now, and I joined so I could participate in challenges and just generally hang out with what seems like a cool bunch of people. I've been playing Sims since the original first came out, though I missed out on almost everything Sims 2 had to offer, and just jumped straight to 3. I'm an avid tabletop roleplayer, and part of the fun of the Sims for me is creating my characters that were powerful priests or heroic swordswomen, and watching them struggle to adapt to a suburban environment. It is sort of like a sitcom to me. I play other games, mostly Dragon Age or Rock Band of late, but Sims is so many games in one, I don't think I will stop playing it until "Sims 4" or something like it comes out.
I love this site because I feel it has the informal, friendly, yet informative, style and attitude that hearkens back to earlier years of the internet and gaming fan sites. It's a pleasure to join this fine community!
