Thank you for the warm welcomes!   :D

CSquared2: Yup! I don't have much experience of offing my spouses unless they're the rich premades. Hehe.

jessiethedog: Yes I am! I love giving my sims their own personality and backstory.  :)

You get used to it in a way around here, it is lovely though!
I'm shamelessly advertising here, but you might want to try some of Metro's challenges, or some of the ones made by our own members, and posting a story about it, when you are used to the forum (yes, I love reading stories about the Sims  :D). There is a Gallery, for posting pictures, too. Sorry if you already know all this! :)

Shamelessly advertise that all you want. It's something that sets us apart and new members should be aware of it!

Welcome to the newcomers. I hope you find your time here educational and fun :)

Hi, I'm Anne.  I've just set up this forum account because though I haven't bought The Sims 3 yet (I say yet because I'm hopeful that I can get my parents to agree to me buying it) I'm a huge Sims fan and would like to hear all about The Sims 3.  It's strange how obsessed with it I am without even having it, and I assume it started when I bought The Sims (with most of the extension packs) around 2005.  I'm looking forward to hearing about what you all have to say!

Well, that's your opinion, isn't it? And I'm not about to waste my time trying to change it. - Lady GaGa

Hi Anne, and welcome!
TS3 is much better than TS1 or TS2 (At least in my opinion. Some would argue TS2 is better). The game is so great, and try begging your parents. But not in a I-want-it-give-it-to-me-or-you'll-never-see-the-cat-again way. Worked for me and Generations!

Thanks for the advice and welcome Seabody!  I think I'm going to go for the "I worked so hard in school I think I deserve getting The Sims 3 for the holidays" method but in that case I'll have to wait until November :-\

Maybe ask for it for an early Birthday present. I got some of mine that way. (And I'm the least Charismatic person you'll ever know)

Sims 3 is just awesome if you have a good PC, if you played Sims 2 then you will miss a few features from it, although most of them were Expansions in my case, Sims 3 is just a whole new dimension. I don't know why but with this Forum it makes it feel like the Game is multiplayer, with being able to share stories, sims, households, creations etc. it's like you share the game.  ;)
