Thanks for the welcome and the congratulations :)
This grandson will be our 16th grandchild.  I currently have 9 grandchildren of my own, this one makes 10.  Then I have 6 step-grandchildren and one step-great granddaughter.  Holidays are fun!
I was in the mortgage business when I first started playing so Mtglady seemed an appropriate user name at the time.  ;D

I am a little behind on my welcomes, how rude, lol.  So welcome, mtglady, Glic2000 and Erin.  Hope you enjoy the forum.

I think there is a big age span in people who play the sims. I'm 13 and I only have 1 friend that plays the sims seriously. I got all my sims 1 games from a uni student. Lol. :)

Yes Ruby, that is what makes this forum so interesting.  The ages are widespread, to say the least.  I am one of the older ones here, but don't tell anyone though, but I have enjoyed sims since day 1.  My mom, sister and I have every EP and SP from all three, heck, I could have bought a car with the money from that, lol.  At least we all have one thing in common, we all love the sims, so age is not even a factor here, just fun.

'Ello. :)
I'm Jake. I think too much. I come off harsher than I am, because that's how my writing style is - which I should probably change if I'm going to be an english major. ):
Anyways, sims 3 = my life. 'Nuff said.

Hi jake!!! Welcome to the forums.

Writing style on forums and texts can be very different than creative expression, so no worries.  Hope you get the professional track you want to pursue out of your major :) and have fun here.

Welcome Jake!

Obviously you're a braver man than I (except of course that I'm a woman), because part of me really wanted to write for a living, but writing can be so hard.  So good luck with that!

Hi!
I'm Maria (or the, much preferred, Miranda).
I'm 25 (Gah!) and from a small town in south-east Sweden.
I live alone and play Sims 3 regularly (yep, quite the loser).
I love the english language, milk, parodies, Jane Austen and am obsessed with lucid dreaming.
I hate spiders, too hot summers, elevators and socks with holes in them.

I used to be very into Sims 2 - not really for playing, but for entering and holding beauty contests and such. You can see some of my pictures on my Flickr:

But when my favourite forum, Simfinity, died I lost my interest and started to play Sims 3 and am now more into playing than making pictures.

Why am I here? I have no idea; I just found this forum in the beginning of the summer and thought it looked interesting. I haven't poked around much yet, but probably and hopefully will!

Oh, and thanks for the Guide; it's invaluable!

Hello all!

My name is Flore.  I live in Vancouver, B.C.  I am a lady "of a certain age" (ok, I'm over the hill!)

I recently found Carl's site and this Forum.  I have been busy reading through the wealth of information found here.  I am a new Sims player - Sims 3 is my "first contact" with the game.  I just love playing g*d with my creations!
