WOW!  Just one day of not checking in this thread and look at how many folks have joined us, or come out of the shadows!  Lurkers and newbies, WELCOME!  (yes, I was shouting in a joyous way)  You are all going to love it here.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Hi, all! I'm Forge.

I'm not much of a forum guy, but since I've been lurking in the shadows for a couple months now, because I'm a huge fan of Carl's website, I thought I'd take the leap into the forums.  I've been hooked up to and addicted to the Sims since the Sims 2 and I've got all the expansions for Sims 3, which I enjoy to no end. Anyway, that's all I wanted to say.

Take care, folks!

Welcome to the newcomers. I hope you enjoy our forum.

@Forge84: I always love it when someone enjoys my work enough to be a 'fan'. The mods and members here have been a major help in contributing and improving, too.

Howdy!

I'm new here but not new to Sims. Although sometimes when I'm playing it seems as if I have no idea what I'm doing which I like to attribute to newness more so than stupidity. And I'll be sticking with that story.

I have an inner control freak, let's call it Scout Jr., which loves the total control I can have over the lives of my sims (probably why I liked SimCity as well). I do try to fight against that, somewhat unsuccessfully. For Sims 2 I wrote the Asylum Challenge for just that reason. Which reminds me that I really miss aspiration failures. Oh flour sack baby where have you gone?

But I digress, and strangely so. I love the guides on the site. And I could really use that information as I am a really slow player. Haven't even tried collecting yet. Also am looking forward to trying some of the challenges, although a non-modded game might confuse me even more than my natural state of confusion.

I'm off to poke around some. Prepare for pokage.
