*clears throat nervously*
Hi, my name is Pam. I'm also known as Spoop in the blogging world. The Sims 3 is my first experience with the Sims franchise and I absolutely love it! I've completed the Legacy Challenge recently and I'm still playing my legacy family, but without the legacy restrictions. I also just built my own house in The Sims 3, which was totally awesome. I wasn't very good at building when I started, but I'm getting much better.
I'm a global moderator here on Carl's Forum and I also help out with the guides over on the main page. Carl and I are both very excited about everyone who is joining the forum and participating in the discussions.
Erm, ok... I guess that's it.
Ohhhh!!! So now I know who the "Pam" is on the forum title! I guess you have no relation to Carl! And here I thought you were his wife! *facepalms*
So, *clears throat* ermmm... HI EVERYONE!! My name is SimNike aka John Alves, as you'll find out if you go to my Sim Story in this forum!
A little bit about my Sims history/background?
I started out playing the original Sims since age 17-18... When it came out in 2000. Absolutely LOVED IT! Then came what I thought was the best thing to ever happen to The Sims... The Sims ONLINE!
I had mainly 99% of the time designed and built a Sims house where I had (that my sims eye could see) all female roommates. There was one or MAYBE TWO male roommates in my TSO history but that was it. I was the owner of a #1 Skill House that specialized in Body and Logic that was in Test Center called Tropical Isle BodyLogic. I remember spending anywhere from 7-8 hours of real life playing, getting to that #1 spot! I was addicted I'll admit! Then came what was my Sims' "mid-life crisis". My dad in real life had been battling brain cancer for almost 2 years at that time and I told my sims roommates that I would come back online before my second job. Well, after my first job's shift ended my mom called me and informed me that my dad was on his last legs of life and told me to come home immediately. I came home and about 20 minutes later, he passed away in his own home, surrounded by his loved friends and family.
He died at 54. Well, hours later, I came back on Sims Online only to find out that nearly everyone moved out but 2 people. I was crushed and disappointed as that was going to be a place where I would go to to get my mind off of what had just happened. After that, I had gotten off of Sims and didn't play it as much after that.
I went under different names... NBA, Nike, Bruce Almighty, and the last one that I can remember is Quiksilver before its end in 2009 when the servers went down.
I played Sims 3 but it wasn't the same (Sims 2 I barely played). I wish there was online playing! Still do!
So getting into Sims 4, there was a Bob Pancakes USA tour where one stop was going to be in Austin, TX. Being from Houston, i decided to make that drive and show my sims fandom! Got there had some free pancakes courtesy of Bob, and began my Sims 4 journey!
To close, I just want to say that I was part of another Sims 4 forum stories site but sadly that forum went down in 2017 and I had lost everything. Last I checked on my Sims Story, it had nearly 50,000 views! Now here, whatever happens, happens. I will post on my story whenever I can but life is a bit different now. I am a married man now. Got married in January 2017 to a wonderful woman that I met on an online dating site. I also have a full-time job at a grocery store so I'll do what I can to update my story!
It will probably read different than from other stories you've probably read before but I always aim to be original... To be different. Im very expressive in anything and everything that I do!
I hope to see you all in the forums in the stories section!
Sul Sul!!!!
