Hello
I am Snuffles and I have a toy Polar Bear named Snuffles (not really why I decided to name myself Snuffles. It is just a random fact) and I have been playing Sims since... well since I can remember. My sister had the original Sims and I always made Sims wearing party hats (hehe). We got Sims 2 and were both in tears on Christmas day when we discovered that our ancient computer couldn't run it (surprise, surprise!). We got a new computer not long after that (wonder how that happened? Well, two crying children + £30 wasted on a game that couldn't be used = new computer!) and had the Sims 2 working (hurray!). It was just out-of-this-world. The graphics were amazing! The Sims were amazing! There was so much that you could do that could never be done before! And don't even mention alien abduction/alien impregnation!
And after several years of this fabulous game, rumours of another Sim game were spreading. "Surely there can not be a game better than the Sims 2!" I decided. I had every expansion, every stuff pack. How could it get better?
My Sims often received a complimentary computer and they could actually play 'The Sims 3'. This made me laugh a lot because I was controlling little people who were also controlling little people (who might have been controlling little people who might have been controlling more little people and so on...) But these little people on the computer screen on my computer screen were unlike the Sims in the Sims 2. They were roaming free! Free from the cages that the people of Sims 2 call home!
I decided I needed this new game. But disaster struck! Yet again my hopes of playing on a improved Sims game were thwarted by my computer! It couldn't run the game! Nooooo!
So I went for many terrible months without this wonderful new game. My friend had bought it straight away and never stopped boasting.
I needed to do something and do it quick (don't ask me why, I just needed to do it fast!). It wasn't deliberate. It wasn't so I could get a new computer. But, one day, I was working on Microsoft Word and had written a 3-page long piece of homework to hand in the next day. I was then that my computer decided to crash and close all my programmes, without saving. I was so angry, furious and burning with rage that I picked up the nearest object, which happened to be a ruler, and started to whack the screen with all my strength. When I was finished, the centre of the screen had gone purple. Oops.
Things went downhill from there. The crack got worse and worse until it practically filled the screen and you could hardly see what you were doing. Then it got a virus. We managed to back everything up but the computer had had enough. We bought a new computer on the 31st March 2010 (yes, I even remember the date!) and bought the Sims 3 two days later.
I've bought every expansion pack for the Sims 3 (no stuffs), Barnacle Bay and a few things from the online store. I've also started a few challenges (mostly this year) and have done one or two multiple generational games (one that lasted for about 5 gens and everyone from 2nd generation onwards had Blair Wainwright's tilted eyes LOL)
That is basically my Sim life for you. Very exciting, wasn't it?
