Hi, my name is tom789.  I found this forum by typing in 'sims 3 careers help' on google.  Lol.  Then when I entered the site, I was like OMG! That is perfect! I found everything I had to know there and I got better at playing the game, but I was still using the stupid cheats (I got used to it).  But I won't use them anymore.  It makes the game less addicting, lol.  But am happy that I entered this forum because I can ask anyone any question and I know that I won't be ignored like on other forums.  The guide and the forum was a great idea Carl!  I really enjoyed reading the guide (it was easy to understand). Oh, and also thanks to PAM for correcting my mistakes on forum.  Lol. :D

Happy to have you Tom. I made the guide just for folks like you who want to learn how it all works. Your questions will help people to find information easier in the future. As we grow, the search function will become more and more valuable! Pam's helping to make this happen by clarifying things in some posts here and there :)

Carl, I just like to say you and Pam work well together.
I can't imagine having any trouble with the game we (all forum members) can't figure out at the moment.

Thanks!  Carl is great to work with.  I must say, we're making a pretty good team with this.  Our experiences mesh together nicely and I hope we'll be able to create a well-rounded and pleasant atmosphere for everyone!

I think you succeeded Pam and Carl.
I come here every day while I don't have any questions at the moment, that's saying something.

Hullo!

Caliban is not my real name (probably a good decision on my parent's part..) but it works well enough.

I've played all 3 iterations of the Sims, I think I enjoy building the houses most, but with Sims3 having fun just playing the game. I really like the new promotion system over the old "maintain 14 billion friendships" model.

I think I found the site looking for info on gardening or collecting, and stayed because of all the other information.

Grad student, 2 cats, full time job... not sure how active a poster I'll be, but enjoying lurking for the moment ^_^
Please don't go. The Drones need you. They look up to you.

Definitely! Especially since I keep reading it as "Cannibal". :o

My username comes from creator (as you might have guessed), since I'm the 'creator' in the sims game I thought It would be funny.

In other games friends call me "the Kreathyr of chaos", makes other people question their spelling abilities  ;D

I kept seeing it more as "creature."

I get that a lot  :D
It looks a little like creature I guess, but it sounds more like creator.
