Hi. Well, duh, I just joined. I was actually lurking in the building showcase, among other things, and got inspired to try my more or less ideal house. The basics of it are in place, so I can post it when the time comes. Anyway, I've played the Sims since the first one and held off getting 3 because I was still busy with 2, so I've not been playing it long. On top of that, I've had a lot of bugs and performance problems that made me swear off it completely for a while. But I tried again, and I guess the positives are mostly outweighing the negatives for now. Certainly, I'm mad for the building stuff--not to say I'm anything beyond a novice builder, really, but because it's vastly improved over the previous games. CAS, cheap decor to fill out a room (like toilet paper), and more realistic-looking landscaping...all of it is very much what the game needed. I hated that none of my furniture matched in previous games and they had all those cheesy reward objects. Anyway, I'm rambling. Obviously.
