Hi. Well, duh, I just joined. I was actually lurking in the building showcase, among other things, and got inspired to try my more or less ideal house. The basics of it are in place, so I can post it when the time comes. Anyway, I've played the Sims since the first one and held off getting 3 because I was still busy with 2, so I've not been playing it long. On top of that, I've had a lot of bugs and performance problems that made me swear off it completely for a while. But I tried again, and I guess the positives are mostly outweighing the negatives for now. Certainly, I'm mad for the building stuff--not to say I'm anything beyond a novice builder, really, but because it's vastly improved over the previous games. CAS, cheap decor to fill out a room (like toilet paper), and more realistic-looking landscaping...all of it is very much what the game needed. I hated that none of my furniture matched in previous games and they had all those cheesy reward objects. Anyway, I'm rambling. Obviously.

Hello

I guess you could say I'm a long time Sims player.  I started playing when the first version was released and the moved on to Sims 2, Sims 3 and Sims Medieval, collecting most of the expansions on the way.  I first found this site when World Adventures came out and I was searching for help with all the bugs that had made my game unplayable.  I had tried over the years to make an account here before, but I had endless problems with trying to get an account registered for some reason.  I stopped trying after a while but when I saw all the work that had been put into Union Cove I had to try again to be able to say thank you.

I spend a lot of time playing different computer games, mostly online games (in fact that's how I met my fiancé), especially now that I am mostly housebound due to illness.  They are a lovely way to stay in contact with friends and family, particularly if you are denied a normal social life.

I run forums for a group of people from another of the games that I play, so I may not be as frequent a visitor here as some, but now that I have a voice I'll use it!

Hello everyone! I found this site from a link on the regular Sims 3 forums, and have been stalking these forums awhile before I decided to register. I'm a longtime Sims player and started with the original Sims Deluxe Edition and all the expansion packs. I kind of skipped Sims 2 (although I have all of them) and went straight to Sims 3. I have all expansions and Stuff Packs except Fast Lane.

As you can guess from my username, I'm a huge cat lover. (I am, in fact, owned by four of them in real life.)
My favorite expansion for Sims 3 is, of course, Pets.

I'm looking forward to participating in this community. I come here often for reference and have not been disappointed.

Hullo!
I thought I should pop in and introduce myself, after lurking around for so long. I've been playing sims since I was a little kid, although, back then it was more a case of hair-brained schemes (A game of How Many Sims Can I Fit On My Roof, anyone?), but I'm glad to say I've evolved into a proper 'Simmer' as Sims 3 came out, which is when I really got into the game. I've often wandered to this forum for help and advice, and I have always found it, so I'm very glad to be here!  :)

Welcome, Zooropa! How Many Sims Can I Fit On My Roof? sounds exactly like the sort of thing I would come up with. :P
