I am actually a vegetarian, too. Have been since I was eight, and am now seventeen, so I've lasted.
I just decided that I didn't want to eat anything that had been killed for food.
During my biology class, my teacher said that I wouldn't have to go through with it (even though we ran out of time and never did dissect anything, anyways), if we got to it.
But I had a Teacher's Assistant class for the office my freshman year, and I was asked to carry this big bucket into the Biology Lab.
You could hear the water swishing in there (so it was obviously water-filled), and when I got there, I asked what was in it. She said, "BABY PIG. WE ARE CUTTING HER UP!" creepy-like, just because she knew I wouldn't like it.
I then got to hear about all the AP-Bio students dissecting pig brains.
Good times. :p
