Hello!
I'm Seera. I'm currently 24 and I've been playing Sims since about the time the second EP for Sims 1 came out. I jumped on the Sims 3 bandwagon a bit late since my old desktop wasn't designed for it. Windows XP, 512 MB RAM, and an integrated video card weren't going to make playing the game enjoyable, if even possible. I did get a better video card and some more RAM for the desktop and was able to play the game. Though, when Late Night came out, I was unable to play Bridgeport as my computer couldn't handle it. I probably would have crashed the computer had I put up with it for more than probably a Sim day. Which probably took me about an hour to play it was that bad. Granted, I didn't turn my settings down, but still.
Then the old desktop had a hard drive failure. And now I've got a nice computer. i7 processor, 6 GB of RAM, Win 7, a slightly better video card (didn't have the budget for the top of the line processor and a great video card). And it's been nice. Union Cove loaded up in like a few minutes on the first load. It saves as fast as it does in Appaloosa Plains or Bridgeport.
