Welcome everyone! Hope you all have a blast! Yeah, I've spent alot on the Sims games, but you considering you can play for years (I have been playing like 2 years!) and never run out of things to do, it's worth it in my eyes!  ;D

Hi, Kim!

And thanks, everyone, for your welcoming words. This is the most pleasant forum I've found on the Internet. I have to admit that one of the things I like is the emphasis on grammar and spelling. I don't mind lapses by non-native speakers, whose command of English is certainly better than mine of French and German, but as a former English teacher, I cringe at some of what I read elsewhere. Curiously enough, the best-written posts usually seem to be rants.

Anyway, welcome Kim! I think the Sims are a good bargain in these tough times.

To people who are interested in the challenge -- it's in the proposed challenge thread, near the end.

Upon discovering this thread, I realised I haven't introduced myself yet. :o Is it a few posts and eight hours too late? Hahaha. ::) My favourite things to do on the Sims 3 are building, mastering all skills and murd--erm, I mean doing a service to the community of Sunset Valley at large?

Hi there, Carlos!  I should send my sims to see you.  Across ALL my sims, I still haven't mastered all skills.  Something about fishing just doesn't appeal to me.  I don't think I have even one sim with a fishing skillpoint  :P.

Fishing is one of my favourites, which is rather ironic considering that I'm a vegan IRL but hey... virtual fish feel no pain, right? :P I also really like the gardening and martial art skills, which, in real life I wouldn't touch with a five foot pole. ;) Two other skills that I love in the Sims 3 is collecting and cooking, which unlike my other favourites, I actually do IRL, if somewhat amateurishly.

EDIT: I don't have a meteorite in my living room, but I do have some lovely stones in my room. :D
